I live alone ( apart from my dogs ) and always have a reasonable supply of things to hand as my daughters all work and live close by so mums is the place to stop if they have run out of things like toilet paper or quick easy to make meals when they finish work ( always have not just now ) so not only did I not have to try to " stock up " when we were told we would be on lockdown but I have only been shopping once in three weeks as I wanted fresh fruit . We knew that schools would stay open for children of key workers and since one daughter works in a school and another works for the NHS I was expecting to have 9 grandchildren here with me so made sure I had enough to feed them but even then I didn't have to buy much more than I normally do as they come to stay often and two are here from 7am to 6pm 5 days a week anyway and I normally shop for a month at a time as it is hard to shop with two little ones as well as work to their routines and spend time with my elderly mother so I am more fortunate than most and am able to share what abundance I have Praise God

  6. I fear a lot more. We are entrenched in our traditions, our opinions, our pet doctrines, our self love, and yet in the midst of the first serious birth pang, one thing is noticeably missing. Brokenness, repentance and hunger for the HOW of abiding in Him. We have protected ourselves with sll sorts of reasonings and excuses as to why it is actually impossible to truly abide in Him in victory, where we do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. We have been told it is impossible, We have been lied to. Up till now, our will for us is simply not His will for us, and therein lies the problem. What is His will for us? It is clearly stated, if we have ears to hear. "For this is is the will of God, even your sanctification." 1 Thessalonians 4:3 Is this your will for you? Is this your focus? Is this your treasure? up till now, for most, it is not. Our path to walk in holiness is littered with scriptures taken out of context that seem to buffer us from the still small voice of God dealing with us, gently exhorting us that our will MUST become His will for us. The time is short. The shakings are about to increase. God's voice will become louder, more forceful, less gentle. We need to "awake to righteousness and sin not". If we do not know how to do this, then we need to be found on our knees crying out to our Heavenly Father as to the HOW of holiness, where we actually are kept by the power of God through faith. There is an answer, but it will be found only by broken-hearted believers, confessing their sin of trying to be content without godliness. Our God wants to shine forth through us, but He cannot.... will not.... until we bow our will to His and admit our deep need for abiding in Him all day, every day. When we do that, God will move in a way that will take our breath away. However, we must be aware, until we do that, humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways, God will ratchet up the. pressure and the shakings. till they bring forth their desired effects. People will say defiantly "What sins?". It should be clear to us but it is not... yet. Our sin.... our root sin.... the one from which all the other sins are birthed.... is unbelief. We have limited the Holy One by our unbelief in His promises. He has promised to cause us to will and to do of His good pleasure. He has promised our shields of faith will quench ALL the fiery arrows of the devil. He has promised to not allow us to be tempted above our ability to resist He has promised to keep us from falling. He has promised to make us free indeed, using HIS definition of what that means. And yet, for each one of these amazing promises, we have strewn our path to full repentance and belief in the truth with excuses of our humanity, and our lingering fallen nature. There lies the problem, and there lies the solution. We must somehow escape our fallen nature. And to those who cry out as wretched men like Paul did in Romans 7, the doors to 8, victory over the world, the flesh and the devil, will be abundantly opened wide. But for those content to remain where they are and cry "I am only human. Grace allows me to stay this way!", the ratcheting up will increase until the pressure is simply unbearable. A choice WILL be made . Our will or His for us, and there will be no exceptions. ALL His sheep WILL hear His voice, even those who are hard of hearing. Thank God He loves us that much. blessings, Gids

Even if this pandemic is not the tribulations (plural) of the 70th Week of Daniel... those tribulations WILL one day come. Are we prepared? Do we even care?

  9. Hi Gids, hope all things are Christ in and with you... If I might push something you brought forth... I know you are on solid scriptural ground when you put forth that unbelief is the biggest problem in our hearts. Yours, mine, all of our hearts. I would like to ask the question of why? Why is unbelief such an issue? We all know Gods promises are solid and true. We know He has given us all things in Christ.. We all know He loves us with all of His heart..But still unbelief is an issue. Why? As you brought forth correctly, it has to be we don’t yet see our need of Him. We see our need of Him, but not to the degree of need where it frees His hand to be manifested in us more than we are manifested in us.. I know in my life those times and moments where I lean a little more, harder, deeper.. When and where I’m forced by circumstances to draw from Him a little deeper these are the times of refreshing and growth... Having learned the no hope in me and all from Him by the hearing of the ear. Having it brought to life by experience is a daily work. Each time I reckon myself a little deeper dead He has never failed to see me through. Whether it was unrighteousness manifested through my ignorance or the deep calling unto the deep. Once I take and maintain my place on the cross with Him by faith....The only phrase from scripture that describes is “but God”. So our life’s may be this, or they may be that, but God...That our dependence on Him would be so great that our hearts would cry out, but God.. Blessings Gids and all, as we turn the faith of our hearts to Him, as the more dependent on Him we become, Not me

  10. idil, The word “gospel” simply means “good news”. See the good news is that there is salvation available to all who seek to know God. Jesus' death on the cross to atone for all mankind's sin has made peace with God. God used Christ's shed blood on the cross and our faith as a means of bringing all who believe to Him. If we will believe that Jesus died for us on the cross, shedding his blood for us, and in our place we are assured eternal life. God loves you and wants you to experience the peace and life He offers. He has a plan for you. John 3 : 16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” Being at peace with God is not automatic. By nature, we are all separated from Him. God is holy, but we are human and don’t measure up to His perfect standard. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 6 : 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. God’s love bridges the gap of separation between you and Him. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins. You cross the bridge into God’s family when you accept Christ’s free gift of salvation. 1 Peter 2 : 24 He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed. John 1 : 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God To receive Christ and eternal life, Admit you’re a sinner, asking Jesus for forgiveness and be willing to turn away from your sins. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross. Romans 10 :13 Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” A prayer you can pray to receive Christ “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In your name, amen.”

  13. Triumphal Entry Luke 19:28-44 28 After He had said these things, He was going on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. 29 When He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples, 30 saying, "Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied on which no one * yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here. 31 "If anyone asks you, 'Why " are you untying it?' you shall say, 'The Lord has need of it.' " 32 So those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them. 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?" 34 They said, "The Lord has need of it." 35 They brought it to Jesus, and they threw their coats on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As He was going, they were spreading their coats on the road. 37 As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen, 38 shouting: "BLESSED IS THE KING WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" 39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples." 40 But Jesus answered, "I tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!" 41 When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, 42 saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. 43 "For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, 44 and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because * you did not recognize the time of your visitation."

And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. 19. Matthew 24:24 parallel with Mark 13:6 and Matthew 7:15, 21-23 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

  22. Hello everyone, I am a person trying to find her faith and was raised without a religion. I don't have the concept of religion in my mind. I don't know how people choose a religion. I really have strong belief in God and I want to choose my faith cause I believe it will make me closer to him but I am really confused. I think people who are raised with a religion are stronger in belief cause they grown up with this religion but for people like me, I really don't know how to choose one and what to consider. Should I follow my heart? I read most parts of the holy books to get an idea but I am really confused. Some parts are just not clear in my mind whenever I read one of the holy books cause I always remember the things that were told to me since my childhood since I was raised without a religion but my heart says one of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity or Islam) is right but I need help on how to choose one. Could you share your experiences with me? I would really appreciate that. Thank you very much in advance.

  23. Revelations 13:15-18 parallel with Revelations 14:9-11 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

  33. We don't know their stories of how they came to be homeless, often it is through no fault of their own. We also should never jump to the conclusion that they are drug addicts or low lifes. It isn't an easy life. Its a lonely and hard life. Sometimes people will find a job, but the money they earn is not enough to get a roof over their heads. Some areas, a person can find cheap rent but often that means living in a really bad and dangerous neighborhood. No one should have to live like that either. It is not an easy thing finding someone willing to rent a single room to a stranger. Some, while being able to afford a roof over their heads, find themselves unable to afford food and other necessities. If you are able to give money , your time, or a place for someone to stay. Do so, not because you have to, but because it is the right thing to do and you want to. God would rather we give what we have, not what we do not. Think about how God gives to us our needs, simply because we ask of him. In turn, so should we to for others. 2 Corinthians 8 :13 - 15 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: "The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." Matthew 5 : 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

You know, even if a criminal deserves the beating, the beating still hurts. A homeless person wakes up everyday wondering how they are going to eat. Thats a terrible thing. Have you ever actually tried to sleep on a cement sidewalk? Jesus said that we will always have the poor with us, and that when you give to the poor you are lending to the Lord. Just always be prepared to give, as the poor are always going to need it.

I would think many others are praying, too, during this crisis. Also, I just saw a multitude of videos of them praying, reported by the news. And of regular people surrounding hospitals and praying for the staff. Have you heard of this or of other areas doing this? It is encouraging that they are crying out to the Lord for help.

  40. I don’t understand what selling out means? If my kids can’t pray aloud at school(which has not happened in the progressive state that I live in) they are praying silently and talking about God during lunch and recess with their friends. My teenage daughter and her friends(mostly Asian) have been talking about Jesus Christ since middle school, something I am beyond grateful for. And all of her friends have parents who home church their kids, which is just unbelievably beautiful to me. When my daughter would go to a sleepover, the parents would let me know that they read the Bible, pray and sing every night, as if to warn me just in case I didn’t want to send my daughter. They had no idea how excited I was about that. So I don’t care about politics or what’s allowed in school because that has absolutely nothing to do with anyone’s personal relationship with God and it cannot stop or hinder Christians. The early Christians were being killed for their faith, but it didn’t stop Christianity from growing.
