  1. I for one am tired of all the "this site is horrible" or "its going to the dogs" or "no ones nice so im leaving" posts. And actually, the last one i like more then the first two. And why is that? Because its whining and complaining. Phillippians 2:14 says to do all things without grumbling or complaining. If You dont like the general environment of worthy, then do something about it-and by that i mean something positive, because grumbling and complaining onpy adds to the negativity of the site...or leave. Thats just my two cents. Take it or leave it.

  2. This is being discussed among mods as well. George is the only one that can change anything. I am a watchman and was told that a person must violate the TOS to be reported. That didn't seem to include strange doctrines and those who claim to be Jesus. We are supposed to refute those and minister to the unbalanced people. The biggest problem in my eyes is that new Christians can be swayed by aberrant teaching. The second is the accusing spirit that has taken hold. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Each of us needs to guard our own hearts and keep right with God. We need to forgive quickly. I am probably one of the people who posts platitudes. But the Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit. And I trust God to apply it to those who will receive it. I also wish we could curb those who have angry accusing spirits, or roots of bitterness. There seems to be a crusading agenda. This is especially true when people are allowed to hijack nearly every thread and insert their agenda. It turns into a rant. This has to be stopped. Some of the people are even popular because their angry accusing spirits attract others of the same ilk. Nevertheless, this is still the best forum I have encountered. Some do nothing to protect their members from vulgar horrid attacks. I have faith that God will persevere here. We all need to spend more time praying about it and remembering that our enemy is not flesh and blood.

  3. Believers get worn out trying to counter all the junk stuff that is around lately. When its limited to outer court, or controversial, its much easier to ignore and just focus on the good stuff. Believers need to be fed, edified, as well as witness to the lost. If its only countering junk posts, then believers will leave. And worthy is starting to see an exodus of folks. My heart aches for the deterioration Ive seen in the past year.

  4. Hi everyone I want to join Neighbor in lifting up the site of Worthy Christian Forums to the Lord and asking for His help to keep this forum going not just well, but brilliantly. I have enjoyed it immensely since joining in late 2016. It has provided a place of fellowship for me, something I needed very much. I have loved being a part of Worthy and meeting some wonderful people. I feel I belong and want to continue to join with the saints in denouncing false doctrine and lifting up the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Saviour and Lord. I want to continue to pray for those who need prayer and meet other brothers and sisters from all over this amazing place we call home - temporarily! (Or we are just passing through whilst on our journeys home.) Please everyone, let's get together and praise God for this great place to come for encouragement and fellowship. We need Worthy!!

  5. It could be that some of this gets into the issues of foreknowledge and election. There is also the issue of needing to be perfected in love. And even those who are fully matured saints, have tasted the heavenly gift and the powers of the world to come, they are warned that if they should fall away, it is impossible for them to be renewed, the same as it is impossible for the angels who fell to be renewed. It's a real war we are in, in which there can be real casualties....spiritual fatalities....and God knows from the beginning how it is going to end up with each individual. This is why we each need to run our race with intent and seriousness/sincerity.......Satan prowls around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour for real. It's also why those who only heed and believe half the gospel message are in serious danger, especially now at the end of the age when the devil knows his time is short......the battle is intensifying, so maybe it could be said that we need to get more intense and intentional too.

  6. Worthy is an excellent ministry today! Perhaps if a person is unhappy then they should wonder and pray over why, and retire for at least awhile (a fast) with grace and with high appreciation for the time they have had at the ministry of someone else serving our lord Jesus. This ministry is work done to the Glory of God in the name of our Lord Jesus. I think it best to pray over it and not ask others to leave in a cluster of "we" the disgruntled. Instead taking a time to look inward, while asking of self, what is going on in there, what restoration of happy countenance is needed within? At the least, if anyone is tired or can't have their "comfort" they should avoid trying to establish a disgruntled "we". May God bless the ministry here. May I be humble in acceptance of the guidelines of the board, and may I read often those guidelines in personal effort to not get so personally arrogant as to think it is to be my way or I will hit the highway even asking others to do the same. May I remember that before God I will be brought, and when I am I will not be able to say "we" think, and if You don't change "we" are leaving this place. Instead I think I need account of myself with some sense of humility and in confidence. I might as well start that good practice as of this moment and try to hold onto that way every moment forward- it is part of my own sanctification. Thank you Lord for the efforts of Worthy Christian Forums. Please bless it and those responsible for the work done in Your name on it and through it.

  7. I have been here for many years and I have watched this site turn in such a strange direction, one that makes me wonder what has really happened here. The type of posting that has been going on for awhile now is no more than a lot of platitudes and mysterious statements that mean nothing to the reader, only to the poster. Between this type of posting and the false teaching, there in not much left here anymore. I am really saddened that this site has turned from solid bible teaching to this. God have mercy on this place and the people who come here.

  8. I agree. If someone can join a local group and do their own personal studies, great. Yet, what about those who cannot? Where do they turn but here or another site? Not everyone has the luxury of growing up in a Christian household, or are currently in one. There are those who cannot get out of their house. You have kids with unbelieving parents, or spouses with an unbelieving spouse. There are also those who are just plain searching that would not know where to turn. There are a lot of reasons why people come here. If we are of Him, we need to be about His business.

  9. All Christians have received the Holy Spirit (or else they are not truly born-again and are Christians in name only), but not all Christians are full of the Spirit, as some teach and believe. The born-again experience and the filling of the Holy Spirit are two different experiences, even though they may occur simultaneously in some cases; and most Christians have not been filled (whatever they may have been taught or told). One does not need to be filled with the Spirit in order to be saved, but it does come with various spiritual advantages, such as boldness and greater discernment---two things which are notably lacking in the Church today.

  10. All of us have experienced unwanted thoughts. But we have to consider that the source of many of those is satan. He came to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life that is fulfilling and overflowing. So all we really have to do is consider the source, and say "I don't have to listen to that". Then repeat the promises found in Scripture. Jesus combated the temptations of satan with Scripture when he was in the wilderness. Jesus called satan the father of lies. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. His truth shall set you free from the lies of the enemy. Place yourself and your salvation in God's hands. He is more than able to keep you. God says salvation is a free gift, not of works so no one can boast about it. He also said that there are good works prepared for you to do. The enemy doesn't want you to follow Jesus in doing good works and sharing His love with others. Don't let him steal your love, joy and peace that are given you by the Holy Spirit. Usually as soon as I realize the source of the problem is the enemy, the problem often disappears. I know it is an attack and a lie, and the enemy doesn't like to be exposed by the light of God. Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

  12. A word of general advice: One very important key to having a correct understanding of Christian doctrine is knowing what is written about whom and what is written to whom: Is the scripture written to or about people who are born again, or is it written to or about those who are not? Is it written about people who have never known God but have professed to know Him, or about people who truly did know Him but fell away from Him and died spiritually as a consequence after having come to life in Christ? The NT addresses each of these in different places, and sometimes with similar wording. Confusing them is very problematic with regard to a Christian knowing what Christianity teaches. Unfortunately, these distinctions have been confused for centuries---thanks to too few disciples and a lot of unqualified, man-made and self-made pastors who taught what they thought was correct but wasn't. Most of what most Christians believe Christianity teaches comes from what they heard in church, or were taught in seminary, which may or may not have been correct, depending on what it is. Then, when they get home and read the Bible for themselves, they interpret what they read through the filter and lens of what they were taught. So, if you can, read the word objectively and carefully and ask the Lord to teach you the correct meaning of what you are reading. It doesn't matter how widely taught or believed a teaching is, or how traditional, or how prominent, revered, or educated the teacher is or was: If the teaching is incorrect, it's incorrect. And embracing one false teaching impairs one's understanding of other truths, because the Scriptures build upon and relate to each other, and do not contradict each other, even when they seem too. In order for a person to make a teaching or belief that doesn't fit fit in with or agree with scriptures that contradict that teaching or belief, he or she has to twist those other scriptures too, in order to make the Scriptures make sense. The Scriptures are as easy to understand as the Holy Spirit gives us the understanding of them, and as difficult to understand as He does not. (This doesn't necessarily mean that if a Christian doesn't understand or accept a particular Christian doctrine that he or she doesn't have the Holy Spirit and isn't really a Christian, so please do not misinterpret what I am saying here. A Christian can be confused about a particular doctrine simply because the Lord has not yet given him or her the correct understanding of the Scriptures concerning that subject; and there are various reasons why He may not. So please don't go telling folks that they don't have the Holy Spirit and aren't saved merely because they're confused or deceived about a particular doctrine, when you don't know for certain that that is the case or the reason for their confusion.)

  13. I would say that people are picking their battles instead of remaining where the enemy has the upper hand, not on purpose, but, still the same, they are allowed to overtake what was once a solid christian site. Those who leave are not turning from God. Those who have turned from God are coming here to take this site away from God. It's too bad this is not being stopped as there are very few true online sites that are His these days. That is where you find the falling away.

  14. Faith, faith, faith. Just trust in Him, it is what I have been doing since the start. Just pray: "Father, do not let me fall in the hands of Satan. Guide me in all truth, just guide me and do not let me fall. In Jesus' name, Amen!". "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." - Mark 11:24 And just follow Him. Simple. "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life." - John 6:68 Glory to God! Amen.

  15. We NEED to KNOW who we follow . is it men or CHRIST . and oh dear it better be CHRIST only. All men are capable of error . BUT NOT JESUS . thus HIS WORDS , HIS PATTERN on how to do , contain NO ERROR . Error finds a way around those sayings . And the apostels TAUGHT that pattern . Our walk is not complicated. I hear so many saying even now , the bible is so hard to understand . NO its not . What has made it hard to understand is teachers have taught contrary to it , and thus when one who sat under those try and read it and see a clear contradiction to their churches teaching THEY GET CONFUSED and to them it seems hard to grasp. WHEN if we have CHRIST , its not , its simple . Don't compare the bible to your churches teachings and try and learn that way. JUST read it for yourself , pray and ask GOD to give understanding . THEN one in time sees very clear and can then go and correct others . Its a simple walk that man has made complicated.

  16. And the early church knew that . This is why BY HIS SPIRIT they would warn , remind , stir up , rebuke , correct . IF the one who errs , repents of the error , THEY RESTORED RIGHT BACK. But due to half gosples as if none fall away , this has produced first a lazy church that got slow to correct, then it quit correcting , the leaven went viral and yet many live in willfull sin , never able to come to the truth, yet FEEL saved and will find out at the end, They were not saved . The solution IS CHRIST , HIS SAYINGS and the same pattern the apostels taught . We must examine our walk and see if it lines up with THAT PATTERN. and if error is spotted, Then correct and do so fast . You loved sister . you loved .

  17. Some don’t have the option of going to church, that is what is being said. This is a site that Christians meet to talk, much like a church. Exactly. How many come here after praying so they can do His will? Remember, if two or more are gathered in His name, He is among them. A church is not a building, but a gathering of His people.

  19. Shiloh is right ... if it is not brought into the open it remains hidden and nothing gets any better. I expected that there will be some that would disagree, and that's fine. What you don't know is that I have been praying for this site for years, ever since I noticed it had turned. I also "wandered" for a while and found not better ground. Yet, that does not mean that Worthy is anywhere near what it used to be. All it means is that there are a lot of Christian sites are going in the same direction. Take a look around the threads. I see a few that are really on track, which is a blessing to see, but most of them are either conspiracy theories, babbling or false teaching. It all comes down to where the heart is. I sit and wonder why so many people who were solid left and why? All I can think of is that our doors are as wide open as the Southern Boarder, allowing a lot of undesirables in that cause damage, especially when they come in small groups that go unnoticed for the most part, and then people start asking why this site, like our country, is in such terrible shape. AyinJade is right ... those who are solid get worn down due to being outnumbered. Unfortunately, there are more that come here with false teaching, and are allowed to stay to spew their false teaching, then those who come here and are solid. I don't think there is anyone here that will say there are more mature Christians than false teachers in the world. When one gets shut down, two or three take their place. I'm afraid tolerance is held at high esteem here where it never was before.

  21. Hi, Not everything that occurs is the work of a demon nor of an angel. Each body mind heart spirit and soul is accountable for itself and may suffer damage that makes for malfunction. The malfunctioning body's mind desperately tries to make sense of what it is not capable of responding to because of illness, trauma, and or chemical imbalance. All that is part of the problem of corruptible flesh. The delusions are one's own. If all that occurs were always the work of demons each of us would have excuse for our own failings our lack of perfection our blemishes. Fever will cause strange responses in the ears roaring noises eyes will see unclearly things seem to float around without reason. The input to the struggling brain confuses the mind. Demons? No, just a body in trouble from disease or trauma. But relax even in the deep delusions of illnesses relax, hang on to the knowledge that God is sovereign, He has called out his saints from before the beginning of creation itself he has known each of us. he has given many to His son Jesus the Good Shepherd; and the Good Shepherd loses not a one given Him by the Father. If in doubt about salvation, that is a good thing too, for it does humble each of us to review and recall, when did the Holy Spirit reveal Jesus to me personally? Did the Spirit do that? If not, ask right now; and repent right now of sinning against the grace and mercy of God that is extended through Jesus. Accept Jesus, trust in Jesus alone. Hang all eternity on that. And praise God always for His mercy and Grace.

  22. I didn't say smile, did? What i said was sitting around complaining about it, wont fix it, in fact it just makes it worse as it just contributes to the issue. Instead, it would be better to seek out a solution. Obviously countering it does no good, over moderation just kills the forums...take the us news section for instance. Sure, it was vile and something needed done, but now there is little to no discussion at all their, and the former nasty discussions from there, are just bleeding out into the restof the forums. So maybe instead of lashing out at me for simply stating the obvious, you actually read and understand what im saying. I do believe jade is onto something in her comment. You cant change peoples hearts through moderation anymore then you can legislate morality. You cant change how people react to you, but you can change how you react to them. Theres lots of "countering" going on, all that is going to happen is strife, like this, then mumbling, and complaining. Well, wheres the teaching? Wheres the edifying? Tell me, in this thread alone, what is edifying about it?

  23. @OneLight...I'm sorry that you feel this way. I am very new to Worthy, have only been here a week, but so far, I find it to be uplifting. Everyone that I have come into contact with so far, seems to be genuinely caring and helpful. Having said this, as a fresh set of eyes, so to speak, the only things I have found that bother me is the constant debating in the forums over doctrine. If we are to follow the bible, then there should be no arguments. The Holy Bible clearly speaks for itself. There should only be discussions clearing up any confusion over Scripture. For example, for new Christians or seekers who have sincere questions about what the bible teaches. I also feel that atheists should not be allowed access to all areas of the site. It's unlikely that they will change their pov, and, for the most part, they only like to argue and cause discord. Just my two-cents!

And yet there are many in this world who don't even have clean water to drink or clothes on their backs. We all have to make a decision if we're going to praise God for what we have or curse Him for what we lack. Choosing the latter only brings misery, in this life and the next.

But, since the Bible only addresses the world from Genesis forward, the rest is not relevant to our faith. And, btw, there is absolutely NO reason to quote yourself and post that long, long, long post a second time. Brevity will get people to read what you post; posting a million word diatribe will not.

  30. Not waiting. Building and growing with Jesus. He has knowledge way beyond this world. Learning from him will teach you that the matters of this world are not worth you taking your life. Maybe the praying and repentance has already been accepted and now Jesus is waiting for you to just sit down and talk to him. Completely, openly and wholeheartedly just speak with him and listen. Sometimes we over think things when we just simply need to sit and speak with him. Just as you would a trusted friend but he is way greater.

  32. The Tithing thing has been an issue for me. As I have not come across a passage of scripture that convinces me that as Christians, we are required to tithe our income. The way the tithe is lay out in the Old Testament is not how it is done in church. But as far back as I can remember, every pastor preaches that Christians are required to pay tithe to the church. But I just don't think that is so going by my understanding of scripture.

  33. I've seen it many times, no pastor is always right, some pastors are never right. James chapter 3 verse 1 and 2 3 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

  34. I'm not sure what you mean by you left Christianity behind. If you mean belonging to a church many of us don't belong to a church. If you mean you quit believing in God because of the reasons stated then let me ask you this, are you happier now? If you are then why make this post, you probably aren't. You probably feel worse than before. I kinda did what you say once and I felt more scared, miserable and alone than ever. After a few months I confessed making a big mistake to God and came running back. Never will I do that again. You want to know why you should believe again, is that correct? I offer you this, because our reward for trusting in God is not meant to be in this life it's coming in the next life. Yes, I know many Christians seem to have it in this life too. But for reasons only God knows a good life on earth is not meant for all of us. I wish I knew why, believe me. Jesus said no one comes to Him unless the Father calls them. I think that's true because there are millions of people with no interest in God at all. That's not you. You became discouraged due to a misunderstanding and maybe false teachings as well. For over 20 yrs well meaning Christians told me that someday God will give me all the things I lacked. I'm now 65 and I doubt it although nothing is too hard for God. I still pray for healing and what I lack but those things are not what keeps me with God. I stay because there is nothing without Him not even the hope for an eternity in paradise. I urge you to come back to God and wait for your eternal reward. The things of earth will mean nothing once we leave here. Come back Shapes.

  35. There are only two types of people that will stand before The Lord: those who by grace have given back their lives by His purchase of them and others who have kept their lives for themselves... The action your considering is one who's life has been kept for themselves.... Reason #1: Suicide rejects God's offer of inner peace. Phil 4:5-7 6 Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Reason #2: Suicide rejects God's sovereignty over the length of your life. Ps 139:13 13 For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother's womb. Ps 139:16 16 Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began. Reason #3: Suicide rejects God's right to be Lord over your life. 1 Cor 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body. Reason #4: Suicide rejects God's commandment not to murder. Deut 5:17 17 Do not murder. Reason #5: Suicide rejects God's ability to heal your hurts. Jer 17:14 14 Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise. Reason #6: Suicide rejects God's plan to give you hope. Jer 29:11-12 11 For I know the plans I have for you"—this is the Lord's declaration—"plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Reason #7: Suicide rejects God's power already in you to make you godly. 2 Peter 1:3-4 3 For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. 4 By these He has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may share in the divine nature, escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires. 39. I am not the one lacking understanding. What's with all the I stuff, are you claiming to be Jesus now? And FYI, that is precisely what it means, which is why they wanted to kill Him for saying it. Again, I am not the one who is misunderstanding anything. Exodus 3:14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’” John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” John 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, He has made Him known. Who said to Moses, I am? Keep in mind what the last verse clearly states. If you want to have proper understanding, turn to Him, and away from the deception you are caught up in. I Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. Praying for you, God bless

Rom 2:9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, Rom 2:10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. Don't underestimate the power of your God. If you choose Him, He will support you, even when it is painful or frightening to do what you know is right. God works with us to do whatever He wants us to do. Sometimes the discomfort of death to oneself is repulsive, even for those of us who have been walking with the Lord closely for a long time, and the pull of selfish and unspiritual desires is strong. But when it is, look to Jesus, and remember His sacrifice for you, His holiness, and that you owe Him your life, and choose to do what pleases Him. Choose the Lord and glorify God. He is your Defender, your best Friend, and your Master, who has your best interest at heart; and He deserves and demands a holy people. Your sinful nature is not your friend, but your worst enemy. And like an addictive drug, the more you choose self and sin over the Holy Spirit and God's word, the less love and zeal you will feel for God and the more sin and compromise will accumulate in your life. To choose you is to choose to drift away from Jesus and to become weaker spiritually---and potentially to die; but to choose Jesus, daily, is to be stronger and stronger in Him, and He will become greater and greater in you. God will bless you for choosing Him, and He will renew your mind for doing this, and you will want Him more, and see things as He sees them better and better. The two of you will become closer and closer, one mind with each other, and you will share His feelings, and His desires will be yours also. As Joshua said, "...Choose you this day whom you will serve..." Choose the Lord, every day, all day, and don't let anyone, or anything, including your own sinful nature, hinder or discourage you from doing so.

  48. THE EXHORTATION THREAD (For Christians Who Love Jesus) Exhort...Strongly Encourage someone to do something.............. Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man As we are all soldiers for Christ, we are all in the same army, fighting the same battles, encountering the same pains. On the battlefield (of life), it is so needed to receive a soothing ointment from a fellow brother or sister when we fall in battle against the enemy, who is like a roaring lion. A hand reaching down in help is so much better than a hand pointing a finger in judgement. Our real enemy is principalities and powers in the unseen world, and not each other. One tiny bit of encouragement goes a long way, just as a word of condemnation, discourages. 1Th 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

  49. I wish I could remember where and who I heard this story from sometime back, but it's a factual account. A man was involved in an explosion and it left him completely blind, loss of limbs and 100% deaf. He had a great desire to read the word of God and wanted to figure out a way he could read the Bible. Long story short, with prayer, he trained himself with help in braille and can proficiently read the Bible with the tip of his tongue. I may have a couple of the facts inaccurate, but the point being is when we think we might have it bad, there's someone who struggles worse. I don't claim to understand it fully in this world, but God's Grace is sufficient for all of us, as the Lord told the Apostle Paul. The Lord makes no mistakes on how we're born or the handicaps we have or develop, He is in control. It's His plans, purposes and will for our lives. We are to come to Him boldly in prayer and petition Him for our wants and needs, if it be His will. We can do nothing on our own. Even our ability to move and breath is a gift from God.
