  1. And many people are doing this, and they do not even know they are doing it. And this is very, very serious because those who deny Him are anti-christs. "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." - John 14:18 That is why those who do not believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, as written in Scriptures, cannot see the truth. "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." - John 14:26 All those who trust in themselves to find the truth, in their own abilities and wisdom will not find the truth. Why?! Because they are denying the spirit of truth. And we cannot find the truth while denying it. "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - John 14:6 Then I cannot say the Holy Spirit does not teach and reveal, because He does, and I have been experiencing it. "Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word." - John 8:55 And it is written as well: "Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’" - Acts 21:11 "for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit" - 1 Corinthians 12:8 "And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all." - 1 Corinthians 12:6 And He gives me joy and peace as well. It is very, very pleasant! And if I asked the Holy Spirit from the Father, then how do you say I have received another spirit?! "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" - Luke 11:13 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." - Ezekiel 36:26 You shall know them by their fruits. And the Father will not give a serpent to those who asked Him a bread. I see people finding excuses to keep in their sins, but I tell you that if you do not repent then your heart is not for Him. If you know something is not right, and you want to love the Lord Jesus... Then you have to trust in Him by faith. How do you trust in Him?! By doing what He said: Ask, seek, knock. "but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance." - Acts 26:20 You do not want to keep in your bad habits, you want to be free. But if you do not ask, it will not happen. I am not saying you will become free overnight, but if you insist and keep asking, you will surely become more and more free each day. "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him." - Matthew 13:12 For to this you were called, once you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life... Forget the old life completely; unless you have believed in vain. From this point all you want, by grace, is to turn from the flesh and its evil desires. Now we desire to become more and more like Him, and more in the Spirit. This is REPENTANCE. God is not mocked, if you do not repent you will not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Your heart has to turn to Him, completely. "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." - Galatians 6:7-8 Repent indeed, embrace, and receive the Lord Jesus for real in your life. He wants you 100%. Ask to be immersed and fully baptized in His Holy Spirit. Desire to be His. "I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." - Mark 1:8 You do not want to look back, you do not want to stay in the flesh... Flesh is death. If you are offended by any of the fruits of the Holy Spirit, if holiness offend you, if sanctification offends you, if hating all sins offends you then you do not have His Spirit. "Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit." - 1 Thessalonians 4:8 Only those who are in the flesh can be offended by the fruits of the Holy Spirit. "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." - Galatians 5:17 "But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." - Romans 8:9 "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me." - John 8:42 Those who deny Him will be denied. Or you love Him, or you do not. All you have to do is: Repent, and ask for His love. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" - Luke 11:13 I am not here to speak what carnal men want to hear, I am not here to please the flesh. If I wanted to please the flesh, I would have to go against the Lord Jesus. "So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God." - Romans 8:8 But if you do not hear me, if you insist in denying His Holy Spirit, if you love your sins more than Him. To love sin is a sad end, and is much more painful than denying ourselves. To deny ourselves is a pain that goes away sooner than we expect and is replaced by peace and joy. "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." - 2 Corinthians 7:10 But the pain and suffering of hell is everlasting. "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." - John 3:19 And I am not telling you to do this on your own effort. You will find it is impossible to be done by your own effort. You have to seek, and keep seeking, and ask Him. His power, His love will be shed in your hearts and you will love Him, indeed. "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." - John 14:23 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." - John 17:17 And He will set you free indeed. "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:31-32 "Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36 Do not give up, do not deny His power, do not deny His love. Trust in Him, seek Him, and you will find Him. "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." - 2 Chronicles 7:14 The Lord Jesus paid a high for this: His blood, His life. He loved you. "And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." - Galatians 5:24 Glory to God! Amen. "We love Him because He first loved us." - 1 John 4:19

  2. Hey John, I love that you and your wife have enjoyed getting into and applying God's Word in your lives. I guess we are all a little weird, but guess that is to be expected... 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light... 4. And soon they and the churches will learn , WHY it was unwise to trust in armies , govts , men . SHOULD of BEEN GOD ONLY . for all will surrender unto a promiser and promisers that assure them peace and safety . Oh , but what a nightmare that scenario will be. Ever wonder why it is written CURSED , not blessed, BUT Cursed is the man whose hope is in man. This world is going to burn . But first the largest hug fest ecumenical gathering as one mind , one heart , one love and all for the dark king and kings who this all inclusive hug fest is leading right too.

  5. God's desire is that we fully understand who we really are in Him and the extent of the calling on the lives of His saints. The call is immense – full of His "kabod" glory, and it is vital to our covenant DESTINY in Christ that we have His revelation on the fullness of the call in this incredible hour we are chosen to serve Him in. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works (labor), which God prepared beforehand (ordained before) that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10 MANIFEST THE FIRE AND GLORY WITHIN Paul admonishes Timothy – as God would admonish all sons and daughters of God, to FAN INTO FLAMES the spiritual gift that has been given to us, deposited into our being, woven into our DNA, to be brought for the release of Kingdom glory, to do great damage to the kingdom of darkness, and release captives from spiritual imprisonment. We are to let our light shine! This means to manifest the fire and the glory within! It is time to show up, to come forth, and arise! Our journey after leaving the womb of our mother has been to find our way back to Father God, to the CALLING and original intention of God given to us individually before time began. All children of God are BORN AGAIN IN CHRIST as Sons of God, indelibly united to the Firstborn Son of God. The Father chose us before, in Christ, to be the image of Christ. We are united to Him in life, call, purpose, and destiny – an army of voices crying out, "PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD!"

  6. No. It's great to revere your cultural history. We are all Americans and we have many different origins. Just as I would write about my Irish ancestors, you should write about yours and your heritage. As an American, it's your birth right.

  7. God is so good to lift us when we really need His touch and encouragement. And there is nothing like praise and worship to lift us above our troubles and help us to see it all from His perspective. He loves us all so deeply and has foreseen it all. Praise God for blessing you.

  8. Wow, such a fun evening at the First Baptist Church at Ocala, Florida! Spent the evening with Bill, Bill Gaither and a few of his friends, as we all praised God together for three hours at Ocala Florida. Such fun to worship.Thank God for giving us such a talented dedicated man. And the musicians, they were really on fire with the Spirit as was the entirety of those in attendance. Quite the nice church too! We were so fortunate to be front and center just seven rows back. Close enough to have an intimate feeling just far enough back to feel the involvement of those in attendance. Just got back home in time to go to the hit-a-thon and little league game. Grandpa is going to be tired pretty quick. It is just so fine to worship with others at a local body of Christ, an evening of worship music is a real treat in this life of hardships and easy laments. It was so upbeat and encouraging, hard to state what it means and feels like. Except to say - There is joy in worship, much joy.

  9. I always get a kick out of the whole translation debate. For some reason people can't look past the fact that it is a translation and a translation only. The KJV isn't the original text but only a translation based upon the knowledge of the person or people translating the text. The NIV is a translation based upon the original text found that was used for this translation and it was translated based upon the knowledge of the people who translated it. The other thing is how do you know the Textus Receptus was the correct version or the Westcott and Hort version is the correct version? You only have two texts to compare to. What you really need is a third text which will lean to one or the other. Once that text is found then one can say one is more correct than the other. Otherwise it comes down to personal preference as to which translation you use. Now that doesn't mean there are some translations that are not good but that can be discussed in another forum.

  10. Satanic globalist communists love young people. Because they are too young to know any better. They do not have the life experience and for the most part do not have the logical thinking capabilities to understand right from wrong. They cannot see when they are being used abused and exploited to destroy your country's constitution. This is how the Hitler Youth, the Soviet Komsomol and the Maoist China Red Guards got started.

  16. In letters to the early church how often it was said , That you walk Worthy of the Lord . Which is your reasonable service. Since we know by grace the Love of GOD is shed upon our hearts , and we know that the Love which comes from GOD fulfills . And we know two commandments sum up the law . LOVE GOD with all heart mind soul and your neighbor as yourself . Then what we should know is IF we truly have that love on our heart . WE would Love Christ and that means we would Do His sayings. His sayings actually fulfill all . IF we truly have the SPIRIT , it brings to mind His sayings , unctions them right into the heart and mind . Who we obey is whose we are and who we obey and follow is where we will end up . Cant follow Christ for only part of the journey , it has to have been to the end . So leap up my friend of multiple letters and rejoice in the Lord . You are loved . The thing is I hear some who say the same thing like love fulfills the law etc. But their version of love is just unity and hugs just be yoked together and have some good works . And all the while they themselves not only walk in sin , they encourage others that all is well, God is love and correct nothing . Well they do correct , but its the wrong ones . They correct those who truly do correct .

  18. Need to repent indeed. Without repentance there is no forgiveness. People can be deceived if they walk in repentance they are working to be saved (another strategy of Satan). "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance" - Matthew 3:8 "but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance." - Acts 26:20 And this is where most people are deceived and do not keep seeking. "Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." - Hebrews 10:38 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." - Luke 14:33 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." - Matthew 7:14 And God is not mocked, those who do not repent will not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." - Galatians 6:7-8 Glory to God! Amen.

Donald Trump, Emmanuel Macron, Angela Merkel and Theresa May said in a joint statement that the use of a military-grade nerve agent “constitutes the first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since the second world war” and “threatens the security of us all”. “The UK briefed thoroughly its allies that it was highly likely that Russia was responsible for the attack,” they said in Thursday’s statement. 21. Montana Marv Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. The holy city is Zion. Zion is where all the God fearing dwell. It's not just one place, one area, but a spiritual place one comes for truth. Amongst Zion are those who have come in by the back door and not through the Shepherd. Those who have come through the Shepherd are at the altar offering sacrifices of the heart (true repentance) and in God's eyes, their worship is perfect, for the Word of God is dwelling in them, and in their heart is where Christ has set up his temple. Those in the court, who claim God is their saviour and even Christ, will be trampled on by the gentiles, whether they are Jew or Christian. They will be put through the fire. I believe those who are serving at the altar are the 144K who follow the Lamb wheresoever he goes. They are not Jews by blood, but anyone who has a heart for Christ and obeyed him allowing him break down all the strongholds, and take captive all evil imaginations, and vanity, and pride, and every single unclean thing by following his Word and repenting. Those who kept to the narrow road, and allowed Christ to heal them and feed them producing good fruits and not error of the spirit. These are those who overcame and are found wearing white robes at the time of this visitation, the Sealing of the 144K, just before the tribulation begins. The rest are in the court area. Those who claim to be under the tent of God. Unbelievers, Aetheists & heathen are not part of this group inside this boundary area, but all the luke warm who wanted the Word of God to fit into their lifestyle and not change their own lifestyle to fit with the Word of God and receive complete unity. No one can claim to be part of this 144K number worshiping at the altar, as it is for Christ to decide which first fruits are his, to be sealed for they are chosen and have made their election sure. 144K is not a lot compared to the whole Christian land, but it is that number for we are told. This is why we must take our salvation with trembling and fear, hoping to be counted worthy and going over our spiritual walk making sure we have heeded every single commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. God bless.

  22. I believe the commandments of the new testament is based on grace. The commandments of the old testament is based on works. That if you do them then your righteous before God. But in the new testament your righteousness is based on grace through faith. We have a righteous standing before God because Jesus died for us instead of us facing the wrath of God. So we are indeed righteous by Jesus. Now we can walk in his commandments given to us to walk in love. We dont have to keep the commandments given to us to make ourselves right before God. Because we are already in a righteous standing. But we walk in his commandments to fellowship in truth and in the light. If we are not walking in the light then our fellowship is broken. Let's love one another and put sin out of our lives to please God. Them we will bear fruit

  23. Hello, my friend. True. I also cannot understand it. Like i said to four mormons in my living room once, if we could understand HOW God IS God, we would BE God. Their response? "well, we hope to be one day". Good on you. Like i said, either Jesus WAS God and DID indeed raise Himself up, or He lied or was delusional. I prefer to take what the text says. The text says all three people of the "Trinity" raised Jesus. That's fine. You can believe what you want. I believe it was to show Jesus is God and has power/control over life and death. I also enjoy studying from many different sources. I enjoy a wide range of people. I wouldn't say i "follow" any particular person, as no person is right on everything. You have to eat the meat and spit out the bones. People i like are Kent Hovind, Robert Morey, Larry Wessels, James White, Jack Hyles, Gail Riplinger, Sandra Tanner, etc. Sorry, you are right. i was a hypocrite. I think it is obvious i am one of those horrible, KJV people and i think the modern versions are good translations, but of the wrong and corrupted text. Where do you get this from the Bible? Book, chapter and verse, please. Sure, His BODY was dead. Remember, WE are a trinity in a way. We are body, spirit and soul. Check out the "triple point of water". Now, if God can make something as simple as H2O exist as water, solid AND vapor AT THE SAME TIME, surely He can do the same to/for Himself.

  24. I posted this before in this forum but thought I'd post it again on this thread in case it might be helpful to people who haven't read it: 7 Helpful Tips For How To Be More Discerning We can all use more discernment---especially these days when there is so much discord and confusion among Christians. Here are seven practical tips for how to stay on the right path and avoid the evil, the worthless, and the erroneous. An acronym... S K I P P I T (As in, if it's no good, skip---avoid/discard---it.) 1. S is for SEEK: Seek God's Word. (Search and study it for yourself. Don't rely on someone else to do it for you. We get out of our walk with the Lord what we put into it: If you're too lazy or busy with other priorities to make time to study your Bible, you deserve to be ignorant.) 2. K is for KEEP: Keep what you learn. (Put what the Lord teaches you into practice, faithfully. If you do so, He will add more knowledge and understanding to you.) 3. I is for INTENTIONS: Make sure your reasons for seeking knowledge and understanding are righteous. (God knows...) 4. P is for PRODUCE: What kind of fruit is your practice or belief producing? (Is it making you more Christlike in spirit and behavior---or is it making you proud, suspicious, self-centered/self-preoccupied, self-righteous, angry, neurotic, etc.? RED FLAG !) 5. P is for PLEASING: Is what you are doing pleasing to God; and if you think it is, why? 6. I is for IDENTITY: Has your identity ceased to become Christ, and being a follower of Him, and become some other thing? (For example: Wearing special clothes, eating (or not eating) certain foods, reading a particular translation of the Bible, belonging to a certain group/church/denomination, adhering to a certain kind of lifestyle, etc.) 7. T is for TEST: Test the spirits to see whether they are from God. P.S. The better we know our God and His Word, the better we can discern what, and who, is or is not of Him. And the less well we know Him and His Word, the less discerning of such things we will be---and the more susceptible to persuasions of deceiving spirits.

  26. If you mean that sometimes God is the father, other times He is the son, etc. then absolutely not. I believe that the Bible says that God the father is God, the Bible says that Jesus is God. John 8:58, John 1:1, John 20:28, Hebrews 1:8, Isaiah 44:6 ( crossreference Revelation 1:17 and that the Holy Spirit is God. Acts 5:3,4. Romans 8:11. The Bible also says there is ONE God. DEUTERONOMY 6:4, DEUTERONOMY 4:35,39, DEUTERONOMY 32:39, 2 SAMUEL 7:22, 1 KINGS 8:60, 2 KINGS 5:15 , 2 KINGS 19:15, NEHEMIAH 9:6, PSALM 18:31 ( Which also states Jesus is God ), PSALM 86:1, ISAIAH 37:16,20, ISAIAH 43:10,11, ISAIAH 44:6,8, ISAIAH 45:21, ISAIAH 46:9, HOSEA 13:4, MARK 12:29-34, ROMANS 3:30, 1 CORINTHIANS 8:4-6, 1 TIMOTHY 2:5. Therefore, somehow, these three entities constitute the one, eternal, everlasting God. We are not told HOW God is God, that is not important. God just tells us thats the way it is.

  27. I agree, that is what is really happening here. Stores like wal-mart for example. You can get a canned good at wal-mart for 59 cents, whereas your local grocery chain sells it for $2.99. Once wal-mart puts all of the competition out of business, they will charge you $5 for that same can. We have already seen this play out with the wave of Lowe's and Home Depot that wiped out all of the mom and pops hardware stores.

  29. I'm white and was born in 1986, and I'm proud of what was accomplished during the civil rights movement. When we say we're proud of something like that, it's not the sinful kind of pride, where we puff ourselves up and believe that we personally are better or are more important in some ways. It's nothing sinful to be proud of another person's hard work that accomplishes something great. I believe God is "proud" when He sees us make right choices and follow His will in various ways. Change the word to "pleased" or "happy" and the meaning is exactly the same.

I believe the "popular" interpretation of it being just before the beginning of the millennium is a mistake... Ezekiel 38: KJV 10"Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: {11} And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, {12} To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land." The current and end times Israel is definitely Not a nation where people dwell in unwalled villages that dwell in safety and having no bars or grates... Israel is a nation of security walls and bars and grates where the people dwell with the constant threat of terrorists violence... But during the 1000 years they will indeed live in a land in true safety and peace.. This scripture is talking of the kingdom that will be in the 1000 years..

  34. I cannot see anything racist in enjoying history,, The thirst for knowledge of the past is a good thing.. As long as it is accurate history.. Not over emotionalized or distorted propaganda used as a weapon to attack others.... But beyond your question i will share some thoughts related to what you have said at the beginning of your post.. I believe that pride or shame or resentment over happenings that i did not take part in is shallow and fake pride/shame/resentment... The Holy Bible makes it clear we shall be judged upon our own actions in life not on what our ancestors did.. So feeling pride for what ones ancestors did is wrong.. I did not do the deeds of my ancestors so why should i feel proud about them? I should only feel good about the good things i have done or achieved in my own personal life.. Same goes for shame.. I can only feel ashamed for the things i have done wrong in my own life.. As for resentment i cannot justify being resentful towards people who never committed and unjust act upon me.. If those who did wrong and those who where wronged are all long dead and buried then i trust that God will judge those people righteously.. How can i hate a Japanese child of today because if the atrocities committed by Japanese forces in the Chinese city of Shanghai in world war two ? It would be a great injustice on my part to do so.. The only thing i could take offense too would be if the Japanese people of today where denying that such atrocities ever took place.. In general i believe pride should be avoided as a Christian.. Reflecting upon ones good deeds with joy and happiness is not the same as being prideful.. Enjoying the outcome of charity for example can be had without being puffed up about it..

Each verse is about His coming, and the last verse has a command: Mark 13:32-35 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. It states specifically what is to be measured. Are you not familiar with the new covenant teaching of the temple of God? I summarized it in the OP. If you'd like, I can go into more detail. You do agree that we're in the new covenant through the blood of Christ, don't you? If the Israelis build a structure on the temple mount, or anywhere else for that matter, and construct it according to the pattern in the Old Testament, that does not make it the temple of God. It may be a "temple" and they may call it the "temple of God" but the temple of God, by definition, is where He dwells. When Jesus died, the curtain in the temple was torn in two. Why? Because God no longer dwelt there. Instead, He takes up residence in believers. The true temple of God is the body of Christ, because that's where He dwells. That's fundamental to the new covenant. Again, how is the true temple of God, the body of Christ, going to be measured during the time of great distress?

  37. Sorry, but it sounds like there is too much pride in all this. And where there is pride, love is not the priority. "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 And all this talk about races, seems too futile to me... We are all the same inside. If we all just repent of our sins and wicked ways and surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ we would all be in peace with one another. "and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." - 2 Corinthians 5:15 And yes, people will say evil against us, they will act in a racist way... They will hate and offend us without any reason. "And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me." - John 16:3 But for those who know and love the Lord Jesus, we should walk in the same as He did: in truth and love. "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;" - 1 Peter 2:21-23 God bless you in Jesus' name!

  38. Let me begin by saying that my heart goes out to you and your mother, turtletwo. I read your previous post about pulling the plug but didn't feel comfortable leaving a comment then. Absolutely, I believe that people in a coma or a vegetative state can hear loved ones speaking to them. Studies that measure brain waves have shown this to be true, as well as testimonies of hospice care workers, family members, and psychologists. I also have my own story to share in a moment. I researched this, and found that people who are in a coma due to brain trauma (which can occur due to heart attacks, like your mother), usually stay in the coma-state for two to four weeks. If they don't awaken, they then move into a vegetative-state coma, where their eyes can open & close. In these two coma conditions, their brains are still working. They can often hear and sense things going on around them, but are unable to respond. After reading this, and knowing that you made a promise to your mom, I think you should give her at least four weeks to respond before even considering pulling the plug. Never mind the doctors! If insurance will cover it, or you can afford it, I would consider putting her into some type of convalescence home, as opposed to the hospital, where she can receive palliative care. Back to the hearing: Yes! You should talk to your mother and touch her if you want. She will hear you, and that will comfort her. I would caution you to never speak with doctors or others about her condition at her bedside. Leave the room and shut the door to discuss medical issues. Sit close beside her bed, near her head, and speak gently, directly into her ear. No need to shout though - she will be able to hear you in a soft voice. I would say that any Scriptures that are uplifting would be suitable. If she liked to read certain types of books/novels, you could read those too. Reading the local newspaper (nothing graphic or sad) to her is another idea. Finally, aside from telling her you love her, praying with her, etc., you might find a radio and set it near her head, tuned into the kind of music she likes. Or better yet, you could place earbuds in her ears. You know your mom and her tastes better than anyone else, so just put on your thinking cap and find ways to let her hear sound! My Experience: My dad died from COPD and had dementia for the last years of his life. When he was in a nursing home, receiving Hospice care and dying, my mother called the entire family to come visit him. I remember taking one look at him, and, hearing his agitated breathing, just knew it was his time to let go. I had previous experience working in nursing facilities, and I also think the Holy Spirit was prompting me. The rest of the family was leaving and I told my mother (dad's spouse of almost 50 years) to go home...knowing that she wouldn't see him alive again. When everyone had left, and it was just the hospice nurse and myself in the room, I got to work. I turned the lights down, sat on my dad's bed and began to speak softly into his ear. While doing this, I was holding his hand and gently stroking his hair. I told him that mom had left, and that me and my brother would always look after her. I spoke of private things that needed to be said between us. I prayed the Lord's prayer with him and also prayed to Jesus for him. As I talked to my dad, his breathing relaxed and his agitation calmed. Finally, after about 20 minutes, he passed away. The hospice nurse said it was the most amazing thing he had ever witnessed. He praised me for speaking in such a soothing voice. And he said that my dad hadn't shown the usual signs of immediate death, like mottled feet. But I knew. Somehow, deep inside, I knew that my dad was frightened and fighting death. So I did my best to help him pass peacefully. It was truly a moving experience, one that I'll likely never have again. I feel that God was there with us, and that it was his gift to my father and myself...two stubborn souls that were too alike for us to get along when he was well. I apologize for this being so very long, turtletwo. But I KNOW that my dad heard me. And I know that your mother will hear you! So please, absolutely DO speak with her! No matter what the Lord has planned for your mom, you can help her to feel less lonely and isolated while in her coma. My thoughts are with you, God bless you both

  39. Yes, but that's ok. We're all racist, sexist, ageist, culturist, etc. The only question is, how do you act on it and how does it affect how you treat other people. And the point of the assignment is to bring out exactly what you're talking about. As a student of history, I would not change a thing. It's all part of God's plan. This means the assignment would be very difficult for me. The problem is that, to give an example - if you stopped Hitler, Stalin may have tried to take over the world with Japan. And they may have been successful. And a host of other possibilities exist as well. Though this world is Satan's domain and we are like the French resistance in occupied France in WWII, God IS in control. But again, your assignment is really a mental exercise to bring out your personal attitudes about human history and your own personal culture.

  40. DISTRACTION, DISTRACTION. WORTHLESS, WORTHLESS. (Concerning our conversation with our brothers and sisters in Christ.) So much can be said about so many things. But what good is it really? Is it building up other Christians? Is it helping them to stand firm in their faith and to persevere in their sanctification? Is it encouraging them to do the will of God and to be obedient to Him? Is what we are passionate and serious about what God is passionate and serious about? Is it beneficial and practical for making us more like Christ and more effective as Christians? Are we warning people of the things God is going to do and of which He has made us aware for the benefit of others? Or is our conversation pointless debate and worthless controversy? What a waste of time if it is; like two men discussing the properties and uses of water while a thirsty man collapses and dies of dehydration beside them! And what is the attitude and motive of our heart in our interactions with other Christians? Is it a heart of humble servitude and love, or is it one of selfish ambition, envy, malice, or pride? What is driving you today? Think about it, because the Lord already knows. He sees our hearts, and nothing is hidden from His sight---nor is anything concealed that will not be brought to light on the day He judges us. It's not only what we say, but why we say it, that God considers; and we should too. Because we're going to give an account to Him for it; and we're supposed to be living to please Him. So before you speak, before you post, before you make a reply---consider Jesus (who is in you, and is watching you, and judging your motives and your attitude), remember God's word and heed the guidance of His Spirit---so as to do what is pleasing to Him, and beneficial to others. How well we know the Bible matters not if our knowledge isn't making us more like Jesus Christ and helping us to serve Him. Take care that your knowledge isn't merely making you into a puffed up and unfruitful theologian, instead of a fruitful and Christlike saint.

  41. That question isn't relevant to the topic. What people might or might not do on the temple mount has nothing to do with how the body of Christ is going to be measured.

  42. Lack of teaching is the biggest problem facing the church. New believers are not discipled (taught) into (1) their inheritance in Christ (2) their right standing with God, and (3) Walking in the spirit. The church somehow thinks that they will pick these things up as they go along. This attitude explains the Laodicean mindset that is rampant in the church and the routine acceptance of the "nominal" Christian who has absolutely no idea of their calling in Christ Jesus.

  43. The Romans, the Persians, the Egyptians, the Greeks, all these nations not only at the time of Paul, but long, long time before that were civilized nations, they had civil laws, they had order in their communities. We see that Paul in his travels among the Gentiles he met people who lived by a high moral standard, with a consiense towards doing good to one another, not stealing respecting strangers and so on..... Paul is telling us that he felt safe among those people, just the same as if he was in his own country. He is telling us, inspite the fact that those people were idolaters, and not having anything to do with the keeping of the Jewish Law, like been kosher or keeping the Sabath....and so on, they were idolaters with high standards of living in peace with one another, in other words not given to violence. They been idolaters they had proposed to them selfs to live with a high moral rule on their own, at some time they may have been influenced by the jews living among them. The same way it happens today, we have a lot non-Christians who have such a high standars of living that they put to same many of the Christians, not individuals but the unit as a whole. Even atheists or enemies of the Gospel they live today just as if the laws of God were written in their heart, the proposed in them selfs to live like that, they wright the script of how to live on their heart.

  45. Beware of any group, movement, sect, church, denomination, etc, that has its own book in addition to the Bible, or which adds to or takes away from the teachings of the New Testament, or has a "pet" doctrine---some teaching that it exalts and emphasizes above others or to the exclusion of others. We wrestle not against flesh and blood; and the demons have not given up trying to steal, kill, and destroy sheep by any means possible: If anything they are becoming more intent because the body of Christ has become so feeble, and because the demons know that their time is getting shorter. Their captives and servants come to you with smiles and nice sounding words and plausible arguments, but spiritual discernment and the knowledge of the Bible exposes them for what they really are. Don't flirt with heretics and apostates, and do not be wooed by them: They do the devil's work, albeit unwittingly. They'll draw you away with one teaching that seems mild or noble enough, (like Sabbath keeping, or keeping the Ten Commandments---as they are given in the Old Testament, rather than as they are amplified by Jesus in the New---or keeping the Passover) but it's a gateway drug which will lead into more---and more serious---heresy. It's like bait for a fish. Once you've taken the bait, they'll slowly work to reel you into their ideology and away from everyone who disagrees with you, and to secure your loyalty to their group, instead of Jesus Christ. And their emphasis will be on obedience to the teachings and practices of the group, for the approval of the group, rather than to the Lord and the teachings of Christianity, to please God and to have His approval. And unfortunately, given the generally wretched condition of the Church and its lack of spirituality, the spiritually hungry and thirsty whose needs are not being met by the mealy-mouthed, unprincipled, non-denominational "party churches", may seek out "deeper" religion in sects and denominations which are more Scriptural, conservative, and apparently pious. The problem with these groups is that their sound doctrine is laced with other, unScriptural, unspiritual junk, with a religious form. The former and the latter are really just two forms of apostasy---a more worldly form, and a more religious, Pharisaical form, departing from the teachings of the faith in opposite directions. Knowing your God well is the best way to discern what (and who) is not of Him. And if you don't study His word for yourself, and you don't obey Him and faithfully apply the truth that you already know to your life, you're not going to have the discernment you need, or that you may think you have. And pay attention to the Holy Spirit. If He alerts your spirit that something is not right about what you are hearing, beware. Evil people and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13) Just a reminder... Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. (Galatians 5:19-21) They make much of you, but for no good purpose. They want to shut you out, that you may make much of them. (Galatians 4:17) If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:20,21) The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions. (1 Timothy 1:5-7) ...Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. (Ephesians 4:13,14) Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ. Let no one disqualify you, insisting on asceticism...puffed up without reason by his sensuous mind, and not holding fast to the Head... If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world (speaking to Jewish believers who had been under the law of Moses), why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations---"Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch"...according to human precepts and teachings? These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh. (Colossians 2:16-23 ) I appeal to you brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. For it has been reported to me by Chloe's people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. What I mean is that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," or "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Christ." Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? ...For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another "I follow Apollos," are you not being merely human? (1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 3:3,4) ...Peter stood up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as He did to us, and He made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. Now therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will." (Acts 15:7-11) But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men came from James, he was eating with the Gentiles; but when they came he drew back and separated himself, fearing the circumcision party. And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. But when I saw that their conduct was not in step with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, "If you, though a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?" (Galatians 2:11-14) ...If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (Galatians 5:18) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God... (1 John 4:1) I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. (Romans 16:17-20) Amen.

  46. Break it down in grammatical issuance, establish the immediate context, then take it through biblical associative context. Once this is done I have the Scripture processed and then through scholarship; I have invested several thousands of dollars in a digital library whereby I can query word formations as thoughts and glean from all that scholarship... once we have the Word in our heart as the Word is we have effectively placed the everlasting objective source within for The Holy Spirit to guide accordingly... The mind that is set in God's Word is the foundation God intends for the will and emotions of being to rest upon. It is transferable to a completely new environment of sinless perfection without loss 2 Tim 3:16-17 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
