  1. We all have disagreements and sometimes those do get heated. Poor behavior at times. Lately there are people debating and arguing in prayer threads. No matter what view you hold, those threads should be off limits to ANY debate. Brothers and sisters ask for prayer. The response of people in that forum should be to pray or post encouragement. NOT argue or debate theological views. Start a thread outside the forum if you wish to debate.

  5. Usually, when a person has fun and enjoys what he is doing, he wants to include others to be with him. The fun I am learning to have more and more of is simply basking in His salvation. I want to include as many as I can to join me. It is freeing, and it is fun to watch others enslaved become free. It means I can become not merely friendly with others---as the world is---but friends with them, as Jesus is with us. That is fun!

  6. It certainly should by all means, but some prefer to remain as babes in Christ for the remainder of their lives. Immaturity is pretty obvious, and the Apostle Paul addressed it firmly. This does not alter their salvation in my point of view. They are still acceptable to God, and those who are more mature in the Lord must forbear and do likewise. Scriptures do seem to indicate this. Romans KJV 15:1 1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

  7. @BeauJanglesDear brother, I will be praying for you, ...please let me remind you, it was predestined before the foundation of the world that you would be conformined into the Image of our Lord, ...what you are going through is a part of the process, ...unpleasant as it might be, Father is in control of your life and the circumstances in your life, ...may I humbly suggest you lay down your weapons, ...stop fighting, submit to what He is allowing into your life, ...no weapon formed against you will prevail, ...you are a child of the King of Kings, a servant of the Lord of Lords and there is not any authority on this planet that can overule your Father's authority in and for your life! Santify this time, give glory to God, rest in His perfect will for your life, reflect and meditate on how faithful He has been in your life, ...the test you are going through has and will, ''come-to-pass'' ...and afterwards you will find Father has probably given you an ''unspoken'' desire of your heart that will turn out to be better than where you are and you will have believed in faith before, rather than after, He has worked, and you will have made the heart of your Father glad, ''...that's My boy!'' The just shall live by faith, ...and by living a life of faith we please our God... Lord bless p.s. ...I know what you are going through, I know what it feels like to be without hope, ...I've been imprisoned on a tiny little island with no like minded brothers for 28 years, ...the French Government has come against me, false brothers have scorned me and put me out of their, so called, churches, ...my wife's family thinks I'm wierd because I don't participate in their religeous practices, ...through all of this, ...Father has been more faithful than I could of ever imagined...

  9. What so many here don't seem to understand is, ...we have it so much better than Adam. Adam was created in the image of God, but he was not righteous, he was the ''prototype'' of man, that is, all of the Heavenly host were watching to see what he would do, ...then came the commandment, ...do not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, ...was it the first commandment, the Word doesn't tell us, ...but it seems to be, what the Word does tell us is Adam had to go to God and ask Him for wisdom in what he was to do with all of the knowledge he had been created with. Whereas, the difference between Adam and us is we, as Blood Bought, born again, new creation children of God have the 100% Righteous God, the Holy Spirit living right inside of us, ...and just like Adam, ...we have two trees in front of us, ...the Tree of Life, ...and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, however the difference is, ...we have not been given the commandment of which tree we should eat from, ...we have been given the choice of which tree we eat from, ...do we chose from our own fleshly intellect what is Good and Evil and eat from that Tree, and just like Adam we go on living, but our spirit is disconnected from God, or do we chose to admit we don't know what is Good or Evil, because there is only ''One'' that is Good, and that is certainly not us, ...and chose to eat from the Tree of Life, God Himself, that is living inside of us? Our ''state'' of 100% righteousness is not, does not come from what ''we'' do or are doing, ...our ''Righteousness'' comes from the only ''One'' that is Righteous, God the Holy Spirit living inside of us, ...what perplexes me is why so many here can't see and understand this Truth, ...it's the main theme of the Bible, ...God is the ''only'' One that is Rightneous and Good, also He is Love, ...so in His Love He ''shares'' His Righteousness and Goodness with His children, ...Jesus told us to understand this Truth we have to become like little children, ...so much different from all of the fleshly pride and arrogance, ''my'' will be done,''listen'' to me,...me, ...me... May I humbly suggest to all of my Blood Bought brothers and sisters, ... we don'thave to ''defend'' the Word, God has done that for 6,000 years and we have the proof every time we open it and hear the voice of our ''Master'' speaking to us, ...so let us all ''contend'' for the Faith, ...and as ''one'' family chose to ''eat'' from the Tree of Life living inside of us, ...for He is the ''only'' One that ''can'' teach us 1 John 2:27, ...let's listen to that Voice inside of us, ...when heresy is vomited out on the forum, ...telling us, ''That's not from Me, I've never heard Jesus say that, so I would of NEVER of said it!'' For the sake of the lurkers, our ''weak'' or ''untaught'' or ''new'' in the faith brothers and sisters, let's follow Scriptural advice and rebuke twice the devisive man or heretic and then ignore them, ...Proverbs tells us, ''without wood the fire goes out,'' ...so let's make certain we are not the ones that are adding wood to the fire, ...as we grow in Grace, Knowledge and Wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, as we study to show ourselves approved, rightly dividing Scripture,...and not like those that just give us their own private opinion and expect us to unquestionly believe them, ...or those that come here with their own private ''agenda'' and post pages of verses out of context without exegeting one single verse, ...and NEVER, EVER, ...talk about, Grace, the Love of God, Justification, true God given Faith, ...those subjects that are so dear and precious to us, ...His true children, ...let's stop fighting and arguing among ourselves, ...we know who is the instigater of all of that, ...Worthy is a good forum, ...better than the others I've ''passed thru,'' ...so it's no wonder or surprise the enemy attacks so much, ...let's resolve to show the lurkers, ...''the world will know you are my disciples by the love you show to one another,'' ....and out of respect for our brother George, let's make Worthy a house, a home, one big loving family of our God... Lord bless

  10. I'll be brief, Mabel. These books, as so many others, are not the word of God, contradict the word of God, add to the word of God, and are not good for increasing one's faith and have no substance. Yet there are those who swear by them, study them more than the Bible, and believe everything that is in the hook, line, and sinker. I say flee from these books. The devil is a poor imitator of reality. He will try his best to convince the world that the unholy is the holy. He is crafty. Remember how he twisted the words of God with Eve in the beginning. Anything he can do to take our eyes off of holy and inspired scripture - he will do it. And what all of these books do is to introduce lies for people to mix in with the truth of the Bible. I've tried to tell people about the books of Jasher for a long time. Those who get it - get it. Those who want it to be the truth - I can't crack their shell. Stick with the Bible, Mabel. It's the only way that you will recognize a lie.

  16. As we yet live, there may not come a full realization to the ways and will of our Lord. We do have to come to accept it, however. It can be very difficult at times, but God understands. He is our comforter, and we need to envelope ourselves in Him. Easy to say - not always so to apply.

  17. You are confusing passion and determination with being argumentative .I feel threatened by nobody and I have a peace with God You would envy if you knew the Truth of the matter.I have no desire to argue .....my only desire is to get people to graduate from the “ Do Do this” and “Don’t Do That” mentality that is the essence of the Old Testament to become Believers in the Gospel Of Grace.I am a “ free man in Christ”. I was not always.I have lived the life of a Legalist.I know what a pathetic lifestyle it is. I did not always know that because of my erroneous mind set -the religious mind set-that I was “ fallen from Grace” and “ severed from the Cross Of Jesus”. I want to help people get out of thinking that they must add to the Gospel . I want people to REST in the Gospel as I have been blessed to do.These matters could mean the difference between Salvation and Damnation — depending on who you talk to.Why Gamble with things so serious? I know that I am not going to change the thinking of everybody in here.People are free to agree or disagree with me.My only concern is they at least get the chance to hear what I believe is the Truth.I am not really talking to , much less, arguing with those that oppose me. I am talking “ past” them to the lurkers, the undecided, and to Newbies that have not been ruined yet - they never hear the message of Freedom and Grace that God wants us to live. They seldom hear about True Christianity. They hear a mongrel combination of Judaism and Christianity — one foot in Grace and the other foot in Law. God won’t have it. I use these types of weak, confused,poorly-taught people as a springboard to get the Truth out . They serve a purpose they are unaware of.In a weird way, I am glad theses types are here.Try to not take things That I say personally .I am not really talking to you.

  18. I do appreciate your heart of desiring peace. I had not read through the whole thread but only attempted to answer the OP. However the bad teaching I received after the Holy Spirit first convicted me and led me was exactly this. It was a works based salvation like the song says: Making a list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty and nice". So I tried to establish my own righteousness which was the root cause of my lack of growth, lack of love, and subsequent backsliding. So I know the truth in the book of Galatians because I lived it. Rom 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. You claim that the verses I previously quoted are out of context. They are in perfect context historically for many Jews who had converted to Christ were returning to Judaism. I had not grown in my understanding of Scripture to fully comprehend that Christ was my sin sacrifice. He had taken my sin upon Himself, and my salvation rested solely on faith in Him. Christ in me fulfilled the law and in 1970 gave me the new heart with the law written on it. It was then that I submitted and surrendered to Christ as my Lord and Master, was then filled with the Holy Spirit and again started walking in the Spirit. Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under Law. I was not under bondage to the law but as a born again child of God the law was fulfilled as Christ in me reached out to others with His love. I am sorry if this confuses anyone or offends them.

  19. As strange as it may seem, we are to stop trying and rather surrender to the new Life within. When we do this, we are in essence 'co-workers' with Him toward the works he prepared As I have said many times....quit “ trying” and start “trusting”......The difference means everything .

  20. JTC---if I may respond. Certainly not to refute the substance of what you say, but only to hopefully add something that I think is important. First--of course there is to be a change in behavior that is required. There isn't any doubt about that. The question in each of these debates of position on either side of this issue is about 'how--or by what agency' is that change of behavior to happen. I contend that it is 'there', in the matter of 'what agency', that we can best be informed. This question and the relevant answers are not difficult in and of itself, but rather it becomes difficult because of the language and issues raised by the debate itself. To be clear ( I hope), the answer is easy, but the waters of discussion are muddied, by our collective minds that try to explain and understand. There is a dynamic that is integral to our experience as humans that persists even after we are 'born from above'. That dynamic is the flesh that when applied to serving God can only fall short of pleasing God. This is what Paul taught us when describing his desire to please. We are all familiar with his narrative. In that, Paul points to the answer. "It is no longer I that live, but Christ in me". That reality is the answer. Moving on to the other dynamic mentioned above; it is undeniably true that whenever 'doing' or 'performing' is mentioned in the context of serving God, something is invoked within us. What is invoked is that flesh that desires to please God--this brings us into the realm of 'law' as a principle, and the accompanying 'law of sin and death'--and it takes us away from having our eyes fixed on Christ and His Life operating according to that New Nature within us---to instead, our efforts to please Him. There is a distinction here that is important. Yes, it is good and honorable and praise worthy to desire to 'do' those things that please Him and to refrain from 'doing' those things that aren't pleasing to Him. The question of 'doing' however, because it appeals (invokes) that fleshly desire, which is always tied directly to the principle of the 'law' as mentioned above---has the very real potential to move us off of the safe place of abiding 'In Him' and His finished work, which result is a New Nature that is alive within us. Knowing this New Life as a reality frees us from that other 'dynamic' and has given us the power to live in a completely different Way. We are moved on to a new and solid footing. Christ becomes everything to and for us. We begin to see that we need nothing besides Him. That He is our all in every way and that the old way of the flesh and the dynamic of 'law' and its accompanying death principle falls away as we 'Abide' in Him by faith. This is fully available to us, but it isn't taught in fullness as it should be. Rather, that principle of 'law' makes its way into our minds and holds back the Lord's children from fully realizing the miracle of new Life and the very real experience of what the Father 'In Christ' purchased for us. As strange as it may seem, we are to stop trying and rather surrender to the new Life within. When we do this, we are in essence 'co-workers' with Him toward the works he prepared for us to walk in. So, the difference is not in the behavior subsequent to 'new birth', but rather how it comes about--what force or 'agency' is responsible. The Father wants us to enjoy the one and leave behind the other....the 'law' was the teacher that brings us to this new and better Way.

  21. As soon as I finished writing to you, I checked my email, and found the following: Glory Out Of suffering John Bunyan was an outstanding preacher in the 1600s, a magnificent preacher, but he was just a preacher; that was all. People loved to hear him preach. Then God put him in Bedford Prison for twelve years, and out of that Bedford jail was born the most glorious book penned by a mortal man outside of the Scriptures; Bunyan's The Pilgrim’s Progress. It was born in the tears of incarceration. The apostle Paul spent most of his ministry in prison, but out of the imprisonment came the letters that form much of our New Testament. The Lord allowed Jesus to be nailed to the cross, and in suffering and agony there to die; but out of death came life, and out of suffering came salvation, and out of His burial in the tomb came our promise of a better resurrection. This is the purpose of God. What befalls us is not unknown to Him, and the sufferings that we experience are not strange in His eyes; He is just bringing us to glory. Blessed are they who endure, who keep their faith, who look up in prayer and yielded surrender to heaven, who glorify God in suffering, or in hurt, or in tears. Blessed are they who look up in faith, and trust Him through it all. Pastor Criswell

  22. Many people try to make God in their own image. But we are not all knowing, though some people think they are. We don't know the end from the beginning. We don't know the right thing to do in every situation. God does because He is also a righteous God Who is pure, giving, forgiving, all knowing and loving.

  24. I often hear this question / complaint from people who (knowingly or not) are placing themselves on God's throne. "A loving God according to MY standards, MY definitions..." Dr. James Dobson once said about his son Ryan who had a badly infected foot that had to be drained... I killed him to see his young son screaming with pain as the Doctor drained the foot... it was so painful that he (Dr. Dobson) had to help hold Ryan down. And in his son's eyes he could see the look of being betrayed by the one he loved and trusted most. Dr Dobson was in tears just reflecting back on it. "I'll never forget that look on his face as if to say 'Daddy, how could you let them do this to me?'" Ah, but along comes somebody who says this was child abuse.. and they kid would have been better off leaving the infection alone... Then Dr Dobson would be speaking of his late son. But by Jiminy, those folks sitting on God's throne know best...

  25. I see my self as a pretty average, normal kind of nobody, that has nothing special going for me. Sometimes in the evening I'll turn off the TV and all the lights in my home, and try to imagine this GOD I love and worship each day - IT'S IMPOSSIBLE ...FOR ME, and I wonder "WHY ME", OR ANY OF US, when I think of the extravagances of His love, as HE daily pours out these phenominal blessings of miracles, the answered personal prayers and prayers for friends and family that are so special to me, and those prayers are more than abundantly answered sometime in greater ways than I could have ever imagined asking myself. The more I try to imagine HIM the more I'm sincerely "BLOWN AWAYY" because I'm remembering all the years past, 40 some, remembering all the things HE made happen that were IMPOSSIBLE and yet happened. And over and over similar things happened in His PERFECT steadfast commitment to LOVE, to provide to protect, to encourage and yes, sometimes "CHASTEN", but everything in LOVE. I know who I am, and who I've been in the past and what I've done and thought about, and it's not pretty, maybe like some of you even, and so I VIEW MYSRLF THROUGH THE CROSS and it breaks my heart because it was for me, AND ALL OF YOU, and I can't wrap my head around that kind of CHRIST...that kind of LOVE. So I praise GOD every day and GLORY in the name of CHRIST as I come up way to short to ever see His face, but out of HIS INCREDIBLE love, HE MAKES UP THE DIFFERENCE IN THE Holy Spirits leading SO I CAN SOMEDAY BE CALLED home. What else do I say....PRAISE YOU AND THANK YOU.

Brother, ...Genesis 3:15 is known as the ''protoevangelium,'' from thr Greek language that means, ...protol - first and evangelium - good news, ...Genesis 3:15 is where God first announces His Gospel message. Women have eggs, men have seeds, it's a reference to the virgin birth, ...the Holy Spirit being the human father of Jesus, satan is refered to as the serpent in the Word, ...he bruised the heal of Jesus by the torture inflicted on him by the Roman soldiers, ...but ultimately Jesus crushed his head by rising from the dead, revealing to the heavenly host and to us, His Blood Sacrifice was sufficent to redeemus from the curse, ...the Law of Sin and Death, ...striping him of his power over us. 31. God knows the reasons He does things. We must trust Him. We do not know that the torture or disfigurement of someone in their time might not be the very instrument that saves many at another. The rippling effects from what God allows and permits at a certain moment are on many occasions unseen in ours. All of the great men of faith in the Bible trusted God far beyond what their experiences discerned. And there are times when God sacrifices some for more noble purposes by molding his clay for destruction instead of life. God does whatever He pleases!

  32. I agree, Dennis. I have had a huge library of books, but moving here and there made it difficult to keep them. At this point, it doesn't matter much but for this forum. The Word is alive. I do still profit some from looking at different texts and the accumulated understanding of the saints through the centuries, but it is not required. The scriptures and the Paraclete is sufficient. One of my weaknesses has always been study--in that it can be at times unmoderated. This was the reason the Lord took me through that exercise some years ago when he had me spend a bunch of time thinking about what I believed and just how I came to believe it. The result was a relatively few important things that He had taught. I have been and remain, in the natural, far too proud for my own good. Praise the Lord! He is not finished....the Author and Finisher. Yes--we have read the last chapter. :-)

  33. Last Daze I agree that those six elements had to be accomplished within 70 weeks. NOT AFTER 69 weeks in an un-designated time space. The six elements do not include the 70 A.D. scenario either. Some folks think He ONLY accomplished the atonement for iniquity while ignoring other things in the N.T. that show the fulfillment of the rest Finish the transgression- Isaiah 53:8- He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of my people He was stricken. Hebrews 9:15- And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Make an end of sins- John 1:29- The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Romans 6:10- For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Hebrews 9:26- For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Hebrews 9:28 - Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 10:16-17- This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them, then He adds, Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Reconciliation for Iniquities- Isaiah 53:5- But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Romans 5:10-11 -For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Corinthians 5:18-19-Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Everlasting Righteousness- 1 Peter 2:24 - Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness–by whose stripes you were healed. Romans 3:21-22 -But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. 1Corinthians 1:30 - But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God–and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Seal up Vision and Prophecy- Matthew 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Anoint the Most Holy- Mark 1:23-24 - Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are–the Holy One of God! Acts 10:38 - How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

  35. Willa---your experience, is the same for a great many sons. I rejoice for you. The truth of these things is growing in hearts all across this planet, as the true gospel that was taught to the early church is being resurrected by God. Even though there has been a dark time for centuries for far too many that name Him as Lord, there has always existed those pockets of simple saints that have held the torch high as a testament of the Glory of God in Christ Jesus. The Church indeed continues to grow up into Him who is the all in all. The reality of the fullness is in Heaven, In Christ--yet there is a faithful testimony in the earth. God bless you, sister.

  36. Every translation I read says that the Messiah is cut off after the 69th (7 + 62) week. The 70th week comes after the 69th. How far into the 70th week before He is cut off is irrelevant to the point that His death (atonement for iniquity) takes place during the 70th week.

  37. This is the very first prophecy in the Bible. There's a lot of information packed into this prophetic verse. Almost always in the Bible; "seed' refers to men [genealogies, heirs, and offspring]. Notice "her seed", woman do not have seed, only men. This speaks of the virgin birth, and the Holy Spirit as the Father. Enmity, n.: 1. The quality of being an enemy; the opposite of friendship; ill will; hatred; unfriendly dispositions; malevolence Genesis 3:15 (KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. To paraphrase this verse in my own interpretation: And I [whom is I? God, the Lord Jesus] will put enmity [what is enmity? opposition - malevolence] between thee [whom is thee? Satan] and the woman [whom is the woman? The mother of Jesus Mary] and between thy seed [Satan's seed, another long topic] and her seed [Mary, the Holy Spirit, women have no seed]; it shall bruise thy head [Satan is defeated once and for all, and wounded to eternal punishment], and thou [Jesus' pain and suffering on the Cross and the nails piercing His heels] shalt bruise his heel. A comparison is found in Numbers 21: 8,9 Numbers 21:8 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. 9. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. The two verses above lead into the most famous and beloved Bible verses: John 3:14 (KJV) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Notice how Jesus addresses his mother in the following verse. It wasn't out of disrespect as it might be taken today. Woman was a title of respect in Jesus' day, and in the case I think it has prophetic implications to {woman] in Genesis 3:15, as it is Jesus' first miracle and he addresses His mother Mary, as Woman, possibly implying Genesis 3:15? John 2:4 (KJV) Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. [emphasis added] That's the way I understand it anyway. Hope it helped.

The question is; ...which of those two laws did Jesus walk in when He visited this planet? If we know what manner of Man Jesus was, ...then we know the answer to this question, ...He walked a perfect, sinless life, NOT because He was God, ...but because He had ''emptied'' Himself of His Divine ''attributes'' and relied solely on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct His life for 33 years, ...why(?) ...to show us mortal men how to walk like He walked, ...in the Law of the Spirit of Life ''in'' our Lord Christ Jesus! The Holy Spirit's ''message,'' directly from Christ Jesus is, ... ''the'' Law of the Spirit of Life has set us ''free'' from the Law of Sin and Death, ...is that not good news? But wait, ...there is more, the Holy Spirit tells us, encourages us, assures us, ...that ''we'' who walk ''with'' the Holy Spirit in the Law of Life, ...are His ''only'' children and those that ''try'' by/with their fleshly ''works'' are NOT ! Rom 8:9 THAT'S heavy and is a direct reference back to 1 Cor 15:2, ''...unless you have believed the Gospel in vain...'' Jesus was the ''only'' Man that has ever walked on this planet and kept the Law flawlessly, ...but there are those that believe the old lie of the serpant, that they have ''become'' like GOD, and can keep the Law of Sin and Death in/by the ''works'' of their flesh, ...God, in His infinite wisdom, chose the perfect man to write this, Paul, who himself said, ...he ''thought'' he was blameless in keeping the Law of Sin and Death, ...good luck to any that think they are more ''righteous'' than Paul in their ''works'' of the flesh! Me, I'm very happy, joyful, at peace with following in the ''footsteps'' of the Spirit of Christ and allowing Him to lead me down the path Father has predestined for me, ...I have laid my ''burden'' down at the foot of the Cross and have put on the ''yoke'' of Christ and am at total peace and rest with it... Those that have ears to hear, let them hear... Lord bless

  40. I continue to pray for you dear brother. A Christian in prison that faced extreme hardship did not know anymore from the outside world whether his brothers and sisters were even praying for him, and he lost all hope and will to survive. He had sent many letters that were left unanswered. But one eventually was received by a pastor (ironically?), and not long after, hundreds of letters and prayers flooded the prison. When he learned of them, he said that it was if the steel bars of his cell gave way to angels that came to his rescue, and through many tears, he shared that his hope returned, and that no matter what he had to go through, he knew Jesus had strengthened him and would carry him through to the end. In whatever suffering we are intended to go through, Jesus is glorified. We too stand with you in your time of trial, and pray God will comfort you, and that you too will be blessed that like that prisoner, God is with you in your "prison cell" as well. God bless you.

  41. I also appreciate those members that are willing to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. It is sad that many would try to lead others into a legalistic religion. Other religions provide legalism. The good news of Christ is that He paid the price for our sins, and that the indwelling Holy Spirit helps us to desire and live the Christian Life. The fact that Christ is our Salvation is such a blessing!!! Resting in His finished work is peace and joy.

  42. It is written that the man after God's Own heart gave witness: Ps 119:97-98 97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. KJV Ps 119:113-114 113 I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. 114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word. KJV Ps 119:165-169 165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. 166 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments. 167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly. 168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee. 169 Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word. KJV Rom 13:10 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. KJV Of course the born of God love His Law for it testifies of Jesus and the Spirit within bears witness of this to our hearts.... but we do not approach it as able to do perfectly so as to be acceptable to God for God in Christ is the only One Who has perfectly done so! We are fully reliant upon Jesus finished work of the Law to be our finished work therefore we look not to works but Him!

  43. Also, Christ has already bruised or crushed the head of Satan by what He did for us on the cross. Christ conquered sin, death and Satan in dying for us and rising from the dead.

  44. Ah, just seen @Roar has been removed from this thread. I fear I'll be on the chopping block soon! Hehe. It's sad, so sad. The heart and goal of Torah is love, peace, equality and worship - just like the Gospel. Yet every time it's discussed, and handful start to take it down a dark path. Torah isn't a big scary dark void waiting to gobble up good little Christian boys and girls. But Paul's letters, out of context, can seem to teach against it. I know, I used to think the same as all of those content without Torah (and I'm not lessening anyone's position). But context is everything. Paul's letters need to be understood in context of the whole Word of God. Not the whole Word of God understood in the context of Paul's letters. That would be a misaligned judgment of authority. The whole Word of God sings one song. If one part seems to speak against another, we need to search for the harmony. Alas, maybe this thread will be locked down soon. As rather than sharing and discussing, tempers have been frayed so quickly yet again. It's so sad. Love & Shalom to the peacemakers.

  45. If they did blood work and ruled out anemia and other things, then it’s probably stress. When my hair thinned after pregnancy, I drank tons of carrot juice(which is high in biotin) and my skin, hair and nails improved. I’m sorry I don’t have any better advice, but carrot juice has been a miracle for me.

  46. Christ's death is but a marker ending the 69th Week. All the Sevens are full Sevens. If this is the case, what is the problem. In Christ Montana Marv

  47. When we look at something happening to others, we tend to say or have some crazy idea that they must of done something to deserve this, however we are quickly changed to entertaining This question of How could a loving God...(whatever the case may be) when something happens to us or to someone we know personally.. I'm sure this age old question could possibly go back to the garden of Eden, when Cain killed his brother Able..This could of went through Adam and Eve's mind ( How can their loving God have allowed this to happen) but this question can only be answered by Free will. Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. Joshua 24:15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” As with Adam and Eve, their free will enabled them to sin or not. They chose to sin. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Their son's had the same free will as do each one of us, to sin or not. Cain sinned and ended up murdering his brother. Nothing has changed in this aspect today. Christians and non-Christians alike live in a fallen world. Ecclesiastes 7:20 For [there is] not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. We all sin, and that is why we need a saviour. This is why Jesus came. Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. However,Many people chose to do horrific thing's such as murder, rape, stealing, and every manner of sin and evil. This happens to Christians and non-stop Christians alike. For Jesus said John 16:33 (NIV)“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” This is everything we face in this world. So it isn't the question of (How can a loving God?????) It is,what do we do as Christians when these troubles hit our lives? 1 Turn to God. Isaiah 45:22 Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other. 2 know God is in control. Isaiah 41:10“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. 3. Rely on God.Psalm 46:1God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 4 love and obey God Deuteronomy 11:1 Love the LORD your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. 5 Pray and call upon God. Philippians 4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. your friend in Christ

  48. The Bible lists more than 30 specific purposes for suffering, but most of these are benefits for born again believers. Suffering puts us in touch with the Divine!
