  1. Look in Matthew 24, and notice verse 38: "38 For " Starts with a preposition, showing us what it was about Noah's story that Jesus was bringing out. It was the suddenness of their demise: they were living life to the fullest right up until the water came and they all drowned. In other words, they woke on that morning thinking it would be a day just like yesterday, but they all drowned. It was sudden and with no warning. Good for you iamlamad, you correctly understood that this suddeness here, is a surprise to the unbelievers. So many people seem to think that this is to be understood that it is about a sudden pre-trib rapture. They are not paying much attention to the details Jesus address to His disciples. So, for their sakes, let's look again: 36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. 37“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. 38“For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. What do we know about the days of Noah, we do not even need to look, since Jesus Himself tells us: They were eating and drinking marrying and giving in marriage, until Noah entered the ark, right? So now, let's ask the question: "Who are the 'they' that Jesus was referring to?" Was He talking about Noah, and His family? Certainly know, because He said they were marrying and giving in marriage. Noah and his three sons, were alreyadu married to their wives, so this statement has to be applied to those NOT on the ark, obviously. Also, He said: "They did not understand until the flood came, and took them all away." Again, who did not understand? Noah and family, understood quite well. The understood so well, that they build and ark because of the imminent destruction about to come upon the world. So, it seems like it is far from the assertion of many that the days of Noah, is about a surprise about his coming for the faithful, it is only a surprise to those of the world, upon whom judgment has come. The faithful were not surprised, they were expectant. So. those who were surprised, were the ones taken away, in judgment, not taken in the ark of safety. In Luke's version, the disciples ask: "Where Lord" as in where are they taken to? Jesus replied with: And answering they said to Him, "Where, Lord?" And He said to them, "Where the body is, there also the vultures will be gathered." I don't know others, but to me, when I hear of bodies and vultures, I think of death, sounds like they were taken to their deaths, and of course, that was the case. Further more, there is the context of what was said just before the talk of it being as in the time of Noah, it will be. The context is about that day: 36“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Now again, when we pay attention to the context, we observe that that Jesus was talking about His coming: 29“But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31“And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. So there are lots of reasons why the time of Noah passage, is not about a pre-trib rapture, as most people can see, it they bother to look carefully, for what the passages says, instead of what they want it so say: By the way. I know that I am biased about what I believe. I am biased though because of what I have learned my studying the Bible on this topic (I used to be a pre-tribber too) for 40 years. However, I did not figure this out on my own, that the Noah things was not about an unexpected coming of Jesus, it is about his glorious second coming. I learned this from Dr. John Walvoord, ever hear of him? I trust then, that as a well meaning students of scripture, will never misapply this passage again, but choose instead to go on to other passages that do not contradict what they are attempting to get across.

  3. When I was young we had no locks on our home doors, no alarm systems, and had long arms and pistols in the gun cabinet in the entry hallway. The violence of today is prolific by comparison to then and is a well distributed threat to many potential targets, not only Christians. One just doesn't want to be seen as the weak link in security by the bad guys. To that end our churches, ones that I know of, are well armed, our security for children very tight. NRA has good courses in personal protection, local police shooting ranges might as well. My own kids first took their training at San Pedro at the City of Los Angeles police training range. The dumbest thing regarding self defense was spoken by one Joe Biden, when he gritted his teeth fiercely before the tv cameras and said" Ya know what I told my wife? I told her if you hear someone breaking in take the double barrel shotgun to the bedroom balcony and fire both rounds into the air. That will alert the neighbors and scare off the bad guy." Yeah sure Joe, I have a bad guy in the house and I should isolate myself on a balcony, disarm myself by emptying my one weapon, having pellets land all over my neighbors roofs, yards and cars, the noise announcing my location to the bad guy- Geesh could you please become commander in Chief of our armed forces?

  4. Thanks for bringing us these reminders joe . There is also something else far worse that we need to be on guard against . As attacks against christain churches increase and against jewish ones and even muslims churches , THE FALSE SOLUTION will be slammed down . the false cure all , the lie . Right now and for a while , they have been working on a universal all inclusive fake love religion . WELL , its an idea that is growing more and more , we see it getting pushed in the media through pc inclusive , we see it all over rome and many protestant churches too . We even see it in muslim rings , jewish rings , buddist , And as you also showed us , Satanism . I have hear wicans cry its name , I have seen many and they are uniting and will unite more and more in time . SATAN is the one behind all the attacks , HE IS ALSO the one behind this all inclusive . We must not go in this false solution direction for world peace and unity . But these attacks will increase that . Just wanted you to know that . SEE its far better to be persecuted for CHRIST , than to sell out for peace and safety under a all love religion whose end is death .

  6. You need to read Zech 13:8,9 - In the whole land, declares the Lord; two thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one third will be left in it. This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver, and test them like gold..... Read on: Rev 12:13,14 - When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child... The woman fled into the desert where she is taken care of for 42 months. Read on: Matt 24:15 - When you see standing in the holy place the A/D spoken of by the prophet Daniel... Let those in Judea flee to the mountains. v.19 How dreadful it will be in those days. So one can see that two thirds of the Jewish race (Hebrews) are wiped out. Much greater than the holocaust. 9. Jesus, Our Perfect Hope Dr. Charles F. Stanley April 27, 2019 "Repent and live" Ezekiel 18:32 Have you considered what happens when we sin? We attempt to meet our needs apart from the Lord. Because of this, we become self-centered and drift away from God and His plan. We move further away from Him until, eventually, we may reject the idea that we need His presence at all. The natural result of this is that we face pain, loneliness, and frustration. Why? Because we don't have the inner resources to bring peace to our troubled hearts, having shut out the only One who can provide them to us-God Himself. He created us to soar like eagles, but instead we become earthbound creatures who have lost the capacity to be who He made us to be. We've clipped our own wings by denying His leadership-which means we won't find the purpose and meaning He created us to enjoy. However, this empty restlessness is actually a good thing because it opens the door for our loving Father to make contact with us again. If you're feeling the inner warning signals of suffering, purposelessness, uselessness, or frustration, examine your heart. You may be attempting to satisfy your needs apart from God. Thankfully, He wants you back. Don't deny Him. Repent and live. Jesus, please reveal my sin so I can repent of it and experience Your peace. Amen

  11. knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. - 2 Peter 1:20 While doing a study of 2 Peter I came upon a commentary that said there were at least four different interpretations of the above quoted verse. Irony or idiocy? Let the reader decide. I am currently engaged in writing a piece that involves an ironic ending. I'd like to do it with a Biblical flavor. As there are a number of ironic passages in the Bible as well as human interpretations (like the one above) I'd like to invite readers to make any suggestions - as long as they have Biblical relevance. For instance, Genesis 1:28 says "God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground." Yet later in chapter 3 verses 1-6 a scene is described in which the authority of humans over "every living creature that moves upon the ground" is usurped by Adam and Eve and given to that which they had authority upon. The irony of this situation is that those who had authority over a creature ended up subjecting themselves to its authority instead. If the reader has other suggestions of Biblical irony either by direct scripture reference as above or the initial example of scholarly obfuscation of a Bible verse as in my first example, I'd love to read it. I wish to thank the readers in advance for their suggestions. that's me, hollering from the choir loft...

  12. So guys I did a Bible Study on How to get rid of fear. So here are the ways I came up with In spending time with Yeshua. Number one: Keep calm and trust God. Number two: Use the power that Yeshua has given you. Number three: Recognize the power that Yeshua has to drive out fear and darkness. Number 4: call on the name of Jesus. If you want the scriptures on which this came from just pm me.

  13. Before I came to know God, My spiritual eyes were opened, and I was given a difficult test. A lot was shown to me, and I suffered much at the hands of demons and some of their earthly followers. But God was also communicating to me throughout it all ( as He had been my whole life, although I didn't know it), and I had to chose good or evil, the truth or a lie, freedom or slavery. I chose God, and then He revealed Himself to me more directly (pretty much in every way but visually), and started teaching me the proper principles of spiritual warfare. I don't have time now to go over even a small portion of every thing I experienced and everything God's taught me, so I wanted to focus here on the subject of free will and fate. For about the first 6 months after God opened my eyes, there were long periods of time where I didn't know left from right, or up from down. The demons tried every possible tactic to try to get me to not believe the Word and give up on Jesus, including (but definitely not limited to) incredibly strong deceptions (and once a person doesn't just believe but 'knows' that they exist, they don't pull their punches anymore; any time they get the chance to attack or deceive, they go all out). One of the things that was overwhelming for me was that it felt like I'd been controlled like a puppet for most of my life, and I had been, but it was by my own choice. Before God opened my eyes, I was a zombie whose actions and even thoughts were determined by demons about 98% of the time. I now know what Jesus meant when He said,"Let the dead bury their dead." The majority of people are dead on their feet; puppets w/out knowing it.When things were revealed to me, I kept repeating stuff like: "This life is not what I thought it was," "How could I have been so blind?, it was all right under my nose my whole life," "I never expected this," "I'm just a puppet, or a robot w/ no way to refuse my programmer," or, "I wonder if I've ever had a thought that was my own, or performed an action by my own choice." A lot of believers struggle w/ the concept of fate when they become spiritually aware and experience the level of influence that spirits have in our lives. They think it's pointless to try to manage their lives, because their futures are already determined, so all they can do is pray and hope. But they don't strive for perfection, remain vigilant, or even avoid sinful situations. But we do have free will. Good spirits, and evil spirits are always communicating w/ us, whether we realize it or not. For most of us, it's a lot harder to hear the still, small respectful voice of God than it is the shouts, lies, and threats, etc., of the devil's minions. It's harder to hear God (until He reveals Himself) because He refuses to usurp our free will (out of love for us). The devil wants robots, slaves, and puppets, so he's always running interference, trying to stop us from hearing God's call, and he's a dirty, merciless deceptive fighter. It really is just like those old cartoons where there's an angel on one shoulder and a demon on the other. We choose who we follow - which promptings we accept. With everything I've learned, I don't even believe in coincidence, at all. That's how much spirits are behind the scenes in our lives. EVERY decision we make is incredibly important, no matter how seemingly small, or trivial, because every decision leads to a slightly bigger one until, eventually, that original, tiny decision becomes a giant decision, and often w/ no easy solution. Demons'll frequently attempt to get people to embrace the most despicable views and actions very gradually, step by step, even over the course of years or decades, as this helps them to remain less noticeable, and they don't want people to know of their existence. God knew the end from the beginning. God is outside of time. He chooses those who He knows will choose Him, but He calls everyone because He's just and He loves everyone. He never would violate our free will, but even if that weren't the case, strictly hypothetically speaking, He doesn't have to. He sees the whole past and future simultaneously w/ the present, and He knows how to mould us w/out usurping our will. When a person makes a choice that gives a demon a foothold in their lives (unless they repent and ask for forgiveness right away) then they're a little more under the control of the evil one and it makes it harder to make the right choice next time, or to avoid a higher degree of degeneration. Plus, more demons are drawn to them, and eventually, if they've been yielding too much for too long, it'll lead to possession. Every second of our lives we are at war, spiritually, and every second of our lives (even after we have a relationship w/ God) we have to make the choice and expend the effort to follow and obey God, because He won't take away our will. If someone chooses the devil, it'll break God's heart but He'll honor the decision. But God showed me what I'd become and where I'd go if I ever chose the devil; it's horrible beyond words. The fallen Angel's are always worried that a human'll come to know God some day. If they see a person really changing their life in ways that'll enable them to have a relationship w/ God, they'll try to destroy or recruit them (really the same thing) before it happens. But, our whole lives they're weaving webs of deceit as a backup plan, in case God reveals His Holy Spirit to us. One of the many lies they'll use is that it's all out of our hands, we have no free will. But we do. Once a person becomes possessed, they can't say,"No," or,"I'd rather not." I know this from experience. However, it is the person who chose to let the demon in in the first place. Even when we're being sorely tested and it feels like there's nothing we can do, we have to still fight and be vigilant or we're choosing to surrender. In the Word, it says,"God knows how to deliver the just from temptation," and it also states that He won't give us more than we can bear. But if we accept the devil's lie that we have no free will, we may miss the escape hatch God provides us (because we're not looking for it).

  14. You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. Mathew 10:22 Do you still think that this verse applies only to the Jews? Think again. Churches Have Become The #1 Target For Hate Attacks: An Average Of 105 Every Single Month Authored by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog, April 22,2019 The bombings in Sri Lanka have once again put a spotlight on the rising tide of violence against Christians all over the world. According to Open Doors USA, an average of 105 churches and/or Christian buildings are burned or attacked every month. That is more than three per day, and almost all of those attacks get ignored by the mainstream media in the western world. In addition, an average of 345 Christians are killed for faith-related reasons every single month. Of course these numbers will soon be out of date, because violence against Christians continues to escalate all over the globe, and the horrifying attacks that we just witnessed in Sri Lanka are a perfect example. The following comes from CBS News… More specifically, the attackers were Muslim extremists. Why does the mainstream media have to be so politically-correct all the time? Of course this comes right on the heels of the fire that almost destroyed the Notre Dame Cathedral. Authorities are still attempting to determine the cause of that fire, but we do know that many other churches have been hit by vandals and arsonists in France since the beginning of February… In an apparent attempt to copy what happened at Notre Dame, a deranged philosophy professor was caught bringing gas cans and lighter fluid to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York… Fortunately a great tragedy was averted in that case, but most churches around the world are very “soft targets” with absolutely no security whatsoever. And these days, there is literally nowhere that is safe. Attacks on churches are happening literally all over the globe, and sometimes they happen right in the middle of a worship service. For instance, here is an example from the Philippines that recently made worldwide headlines… Earlier this year in India, a group of Christians was absolutely horrified when they arrived for worship only to find that their church had burned completely to the ground… Christians were horrified to see Pentecostal Church in India’s Telangana state completely engulfed by black smoke when they arrived for worship. On closer inspection much of the inside of the church, including furniture, the pulpit, the sound system, fans, carpets, and lights, were burned to ashes during the attack on February 2 at about 11am. The devastating attack on the church, home to 200 worshippers, has left Christians from ten villages without a place to worship. By a very wide margin, churches are the number one target for hate attacks, and it is only going to get worse. Sadly, churches in the U.S. are increasingly being attacked as well. You may not have heard about it in the news, but three churches in Louisiana were recently destroyed by arson… In previous articles, I have argued that all churches are going to need armed security from this point forward. The world has changed, and we need to change with it. When I was growing up, I never imagined that someone might come in to my church and start shooting, but over the last several decades we have seen such a scenario play out numerous times. Just check out this list of fatal church shootings that have happened since Columbine… 1999 Wedgewood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas 2001 Greater Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Kentucky 2002 Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Lynbrook, New York 2003 Turner Monumental AME Church in Kirkwood, Georgia 2005 Living Church of God in Brookfield, Wisconsin 2005 World Changers Church in College Park, Georgia 2006 Zion Hope Missionary Baptist in Detroit, Michigan 2006 Ministry of Jesus Christ Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana 2007 First Presbyterian Church in Moscow, Idaho 2007 First Congregational Church in Neosho, Missouri 2007 New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado 2008 First Baptist Church in Maryville, Illinois 2009 Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas 2012 World Changers Church in College Park, Georgia 2015 Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina 2017 Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, Tennessee 2017 First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas 2017 St. Alphonsus Church in Fresno, Texas Christian persecution is on the rise all over the world, and it is likely to intensify greatly in the years ahead. But of course most of the time the mainstream media attempts to ignore this growing trend as much as possible. When there are spectacular attacks with large numbers of deaths like we just witnessed in Sri Lanka they will cover the story, but other than that they try very hard to avoid any stories that would put Christians in a sympathetic light. They can try to ignore what is happening all they want, but it doesn’t change the fact that hatred for the Christian faith is growing, and what we have been witnessing in recent weeks is just the beginning.

  15. A Galatians 1:12 (NKJV) For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught [it,] but [it came] through the revelation of Jesus Christ. “Came through the revelation of Jesus Christ” This is the one and only way to understand the Mystery of Christ in us. Through a direct revelation of Jesus Christ, directly to the heart of the believer. Seeing how God is no respecter of persons, this revelation of the Mystery of Christ in us is open to all equally, to all those that want it. Those that are willing to give up all themselves, all they lay claim to as their own. This is what the Spirit of Christ searches the world for, a heart that would be willing. When this heart is found, this heart is tried to see if this desire is real, not to God, but to the believer themselves, that they would know the price required and that they were willing to pay that price. Not to puff up, but to give great confidence in the faith, that their heart may truly rest in the God who loves them and not in themselves. This is the Pearl of Great Price. This Knowledge of the Holy One. This small seed of desire that grows to the greatest of all things. “For the just shall live by faith” This faith in God that surpasses all things. This faith in the love of God, directed individually to the heart of the believer. This faith in the goodness of God Himself directed personally to the believing heart. This is the One and only ground necessary for this revelation to be revealed in the heart of the believer. This simple yet hardest of all things to learn. ~~A giving up oneself to God, totally.~~ Than the secret of being inwardly directed by the Spirit of Christ in the heart of the believer becomes their very life. All things get run by the “peace of Christ” in the believer’s heart. When this is learned the first bricks of the foundation that can never be moved have been laid. The works of the flesh, self effort to make oneself better has been given up to faith, a believing in God, to keep His word to the believing heart. This; “I have been crucified with Christ, yet I live, yet not I, but Christ who lives in me” Believing this, is the doorway to the revelation of the Mystery of Christ in us our hope of glory. This being in possession of this revelation of this Mystery is the goal and the faith that causes the heart to truly rest in the work and works of God. To truly know this is His creation and no one else’s. That He Himself is God at all times. That He Himself loves the believer at all times with a love that has given it’s all to the believer. That this love can be trusted in to be there tomorrow, just as today. A revelation of this love is what the believing heart cry’s for, for this is the only thing that will bring the heart to a true and everlasting rest in the love of God to itself. Oh, that our hearts would cry out for a deeper revelation of this love of God towards us. Blessings, Much love in Christ, Not me

  16. Welcome again Ryan. Surrender every area of your life to God making Jesus the Lord and Master of your life, especially of problem areas. Read your Bible, especially the New Testament, first praying and asking God to enlighten you and speak to you through the Scriptures. Jesus portrayed the nature of God. Try to apply to your own life the things that especially impress you. Pray and ask God to give you the power to do this. Become involved in a local Bible believing church and especially any small group Bible studies they may hold. Pray continually. While driving thank Him for keeping you safe and ask Him to protect people from careless dangerous drivers that you see. Pray for those in and near accidents. At home pray for family, for wisdom in raising kids, for any problems they face. Be in a continual conversation with God. If you are married, pray aloud for your wife's emotional and spiritual needs to be met, bless her and ask God to help you to be a blessing to her.

  21. Hello Loves! Happy Sabbath to you all. In case you don't know what the Sabbath is, or what that Sabbath is for, here is the definition. I will also add the biblical definition. "a day of religious observance and abstinence from work, kept by Jews from Friday evening to Saturday evening, and by most Christians on Sunday." Biblical Definition: Sabbath [N] [E] The origin of the Hebrew sabbat [t'B;v] is uncertain, but it seems to have derived from the verb sabat, meaning to stop, to cease, or to keep. Its theological meaning is rooted in God's rest following the six days of creation ( Gen 2:2-3 ). The Greek noun sabbat [savbbaton] translates the Hebrew noun sabbat [t'B;v]. The noun form is used primarily to denote the seventh day of the week, though it may occasionally refer to the Sabbath week ( Lev 23:15-16 ) at the end of every seven Sabbaths or fifty days, or the Sabbath year ( Lev 25:1-7 ) in which the land was to be at complete rest. 22. There's a video of the song "Blessed Assurance" song by Tennessee Ernie Ford. He reminds me of my father when he would sing that song. "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. Oh what a foretaste of glory divine. Heir of salvation. Purchase above. Born of His Spirit, found in His love." I know that the lyric is.. "lost in His love." But we were lost in sin, but in salvation we are found in Him. As this other song says "Amazing grace! How sweet the sound. That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see."

My dad saw to it that my best friend and I had front row seats, Talk about energy for the Lord! As much as I loved the song years ago, I can relate to the message even more now. Even so, come Lord Jesus. Soon and very soon we are going to see the King!

  26. Sadly, this is just a prelude of things to come. Daniel 12:4 (KJV) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. The Book of Daniel has been unsealed, we see how and why all these things prophetic are coming to pass. Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! In the name of political correctness, tolerance and not to be offensive; look at all the things that have changed in the past few decades. I can't substantiate the claim; but I'm hearing US Military Chaplin's are now forbidden to invoke the name of Jesus Christ in prayer in their official capacity? Our own liberal government considers Christians as terrorists. We're living in the last days and witnessing the buildup of all things prophetic. Jesus and Christians will become more and more hated and despised nationally and globally. This is only the build up of things to come.

  27. A gentleman known as Mike Warnke, apparently sold his soul, and went on into satanism as a high priest. Later on he joined the Navy as a medic, and turned his life over to Jesus in boot camp. Some of his service buddies had been witnessing and praying for him. After his tour of duty, he authored several books, and entered into evangelism. Pretty apparent the Lord must have forgiven him. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles

  29. Speaking out against or disagreeing with a country's leader dose not go against what the Bible says. Stop twisting scripture to silence people who are trying to speak the truth! We need to wake up. For the time is coming near.

  31. Yes, Jesus is my assurance, too. What a wonderful thing to have the peace of God in our lives...knowing we are secure in Him. We don't need to fear, but can rest in Jesus. He has paid it all.

  32. Hello I appreciate what you said but here is the gospel for us: 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

  34. Looks as if we have ten questions already. These two I've heard numerous times in attempting to witness: If God is so loving, why would He send someone to Hell? I'm a good person, so why do I have to accept Jesus to go to Heaven?

  35. Yes, there are many biologists and other scientists that see scientific evidence just as I do - a strong suggestion of a Creator that values intricacy, complexity, and beauty, even in processes like evolution. I grew up as a YEC, but I've spent decades studying Biology and have only grown in my appreciation of His power, creativity, and precision. Our God is indeed an awesome God!

  36. Who created God? Did God endorse slavery? Why don't you still stone people? What about the evidence in the Universe for the Big Bang? Why can't you prove there is a God? Ahh, I love a good conversation with an atheist! It's a shame some of them have to resort to mockery when they start losing the debate.

  37. 2. How do you know that God is real? 3. How and/or why is homosexualiy wrong? 4. What is "sin"? 5. If Adam and Eve were the first people, then wouldn't they have had to engage in incest for people to come about? 6. Why did/would God create this world? That's all I can think of.

Basic beliefs such as the Trinity are necessary to have full access to the whole site.

  40. ..."Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for there shall no more come into you the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake yourself from the dust and arise; be seated, O Jerusalem; loose the bonds from your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For thus says the Lord: “You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.” For thus says the Lord God: “My people went down at the first into Egypt to sojourn there, and the Assyrian oppressed them for nothing. Now therefore what have I here,” declares the Lord, “seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Their rulers wail,” declares the Lord, “and continually all the day my name is despised. Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here I am.” How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Depart, depart, go out from there; touch no unclean thing; go out from the midst of her; purify yourselves, you who bear the vessels of the Lord. For you shall not go out in haste, and you shall not go in flight, for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Behold, my servant shall act wisely; he shall be high and lifted up, and shall be exalted. As many were astonished at you— his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind— so shall he sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths because of him, for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand. Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors."... -From Isaiah comes word of the glory and ministry of Christ - His incarnation, youth, mild manner, His obedience, His message, His miracles, sufferings, rejection, shame, vicarious death, and His ascension. * *Credit footnotes of Criswell Study Bible

  41. A Jewish man on the subway is reading an Arab newspaper. A friend of his, who happened to be riding in the same subway car, noticed this strange phenomenon. Very upset, he approached him. “Moshe, have you lost your mind? Why are you reading an Arab newspaper?” Moshe replied, “I used to read the Jewish newspaper, but what did I find? Jews being persecuted, Israel being attacked, Jews disappearing through assimilation and intermarriage, Jews living in poverty. So I switched to the Arab newspaper. Now what do I find? Jews own all the banks, Jews control the media, Jews are all rich and powerful, Jews rule the world. The news is so much better!”

  42. I'm new where I live and I keep to myself. The other day I walked into the local thrift store and two ladies were talking. One turned to me: "Oh, hi neighbor! How are you enjoying the neighborhood?" "Oh fine, thanks." "Say, were you down by the river last night?" "No." "Oh, okay." (turns back to the other lady) "So anyway, there was this homeless guy down by the river last night..."

  43. Hi missmuffet I understand your position on the 7 yr. tribulation. but the 7 yr. teaching is unsupported by the bible. People get that by believing a misreading of Dan. 7. And if you look at the trumpets and vials in Revelation, you'll see that they repeat the same judgments, while the seals are an overview of the same period. We would need to have the mountains and islands be moved out of their places twice, darkness/sun referred to twice, Euphrates referred to twice, and so on. Jesus taught using as illustrations the stories of Noah and lot. In both cases NOBODY was removed until the day that God's judgment came down out of the sky. That will be at the end. And then Jesus said "...it will be just like this when the Son of Man is revealed".

  44. My basic point is this... why is this still supposed to be something worthy of memory and discussion? i wasn't there neither was anyone else reading this there were many and numerous guilty parties involved...may God forgive them all i pray dredging up events, however dreadful, from hundreds of years ago is detrimental to Christian unity today only the foe want us to remain divided a divided witness is a weakened witness does anyone seriously believe Jesus wants THAT??? discord, bitterness, rejection, resentment, animosity, hatred...all of this comes from our enemy choosing to remember past wounds plays straight into the hands of the foe and is especially nonsensical when we weren't even there LOVE (and only love) mercy and FORGIVENESS comes from our God when we stand apart from our brothers and sisters in Christ, in heart or mind, in thought, word or deed whether those family members be Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant (conformist or non-conformist) then we are FAILING failing to love failing to forgive failing to accept (our own family members...Father Gods family members) and that failure to love and forgive is SIN we have torn apart the Body of Christ and CHRIST has felt every tear...all 33,000 of them now... unity is not necessarily uniformity if we cannot unite organizationally/theologically we can UNITE IN LOVE and acceptance and forgiveness of one another it's time to stand together, shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand Catholic/Orthodox/Protestant WITH AND FOR JESUS CHRIST OUR KING THAT IS LOVE dredging up barbarous events from hundreds of years ago has no place in that whatsoever love to one and all Pax Christi
