    • No, he was rebutting how you interpret it.
    • Yes, really! We might think it odd to be "instructed by our kidneys", but to the ancient Hebrews it was a perfectly natural idiom. (Just as the Greeks would say that they were "moved by their bowels" to describe being in the grip of strong emotion). We would say, "instructed by our heart" (another internal organ that in reality has no more connection with instruction than the kidneys do, but it's just an expression) - and that's how most modern Bible versions interpret it.
    • God's things begin to take priority over self... begin to take priority in all things we began in... He becomes to us The Everything in Life... this is transformation not of this world but of promises He has made to us so that we are made able to rely on those promises more than all we have began in... I am literally His and it is better than when I was mine, so much so, I will not return to it... it is s/Spiritual because I am physically where I was but no longer wish to be... as we grow into the inner man where The Holy Spirit dwells within us we experience the reality  Eph 3:16-21 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
      KJV
literally through the objective reality of existence I am experiencing this 2 Cor 5:17 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
      KJV
    •   Such a waste of precious computer ink! Let’s stop wasting time on these trivial matters!Think as you want.Do whatever you think is right.Lets discuss the only thing that really matters when it is all said and done. Is there anything  one can do to increase their odds of having a “ lucky, last second repentance” ?Seeing How this trumps everything else in our Christian walk, how come we don’t devote more time to it? “ By grace we are saved, through faith and repentance of all sins that were left on the repentance Log before we die”. I just know that verse is in there—- must be somewhere in the back—- otherwise it would look like an accursed addition to Paul’s simple Gospel.Like W.C. Fields, let’s start looking for “ loopholes” in the Bible to get around this seemingly fearful dilemma.I have heard about this thing called “ grace”.Couldnt it apply here? If not, we need to find out why. Any thoughts?I keep having this recurring thought that “ anybody that asks to be saved, WILL be saved”.Like the Bible says. It’s as if God made this unbelievable promise and now it is up to Him to keep it.His Word is at stake. That would mean if there is anything we must do—- He has the obligation to see that it is done.On the other hand, if there is something we can’t do , lest we be damned—— He has the obligation to see that we don’t do it.If those things would be true, it sure would make for a restful Christian walk, wouldn’t it?  Oh well.....  back to reality—— how do we keep our repentance tally at zero in case we have a heart attack in our sleep?
    • This is incomplete in Old and New testaments concepts 'we need to take it through the whole council of God'... Like terms can be distinguished by actions taken or given!
