    • who does Jesus say He is
No, it's not my opinion you're wrong. It is a simple fact that you're wrong You are not only wrong, but you are a false teacher and your views should be avoided by genuine Christians.  Your teachings will drag people to Hell.   I am simply wanting to make sure your views are thoroughly discredited and that you stand alone in your heresies. Your sloppy handling of the Scripture such as demonstrated here only re-enforces why no one should listen to a word you say.   Jesus repeatedly fore told of his own death and resurrection AND He preached forgiveness, called  people to repentance and preached that the Kingdom of God had come to them.   It had come to them, in the Person of Jesus Christ.   There is nothing I said about the Gospel that Jesus didn't preach to His disciples and to everyone else.  Only biblically illiterate people would fail to understand that. Only a false teacher would attempt to muddy the water about what the Gospel is.   It only further discredits your posts and why I am here to make sure no one goes to Hell because of demonic doctrines you teach.   As Paul would say, "Anathema."

Well. when you answered by questions, you prove that as a believer, you have some ability to exercise free will, and you choose to use it to disobey God. My contention is, that before salvation/new birth, people do not have that choice. So, no, it is not establishing what you think at all. Isn't it sad though, that even as a regenerated believer and follower of the Lord, Jesus the Christ, we repay his love with rebellion. This is why the grace of God is such good news. You and I do not deserve salvation, even less so did we, before  we were save. We are so not worthy, the best we do, is to try to be less unworthy. In any case, the kind of free will you are saying was proved, is not the kind we are discussion. Here is it only, did we have the ability to choose God when we were slaved to sin and blind enemies of God, who could not even understand the problem. To the unsaved, God's offer is foolishness.

Well Willa, you seem more agitated than usual, but let's take a look at what you had to say! I have abridged Ron Rhodes argument for 4 point Calvinism by eliminating most quotations by people other than Calvin. Well, if you did that, I do not believe I saw that post As usual, when I present Scriptural evidence that disagrees with your take on it all, you either dismiss it or eliminate it. As usual? I am not aware that I have done that, and I do not concern myself with whether something disagrees my take, that is not my approach. If you have an example of that, show me so that all can see it, don't just make some vague accusation to "when you present". Now you say you don't understand God's Word???? When did I say that? There are probably plenty of things I do not understand in God's word, but I seriously doubt I said that. Is that even close to a quote? Or are you, like others on the forums, mistaking your posts for God's word, so that you think that when I disagree with you, that I should be accused of failure to understand His word? More likely, I didn't understand your post. For that matter,I do not understand this one either, I have no idea what you are talking about, or where you are coming from. If I "dismiss it", where or how have I done that. If I eliminate it, are you suggesting that I am editing your posts to erase things? What on Earth are you talking about? One of the chief arguments of 5 point Calvinists is that the whole world only means the Church and that all doesn't mean everyone. Do you think that the "whole world" only means one thing? We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. 1 John 5:19 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Rev 12:9 which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and increasing—as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, Col 1:6 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:2 So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!" John 12:19 Come on, get real Willa! Anyone, even an ignorant Calvinist, knows that the "whole world" means what it means, in the context of it's verse, and even there, you need to compare scripture with scripture, to make sure you are not misunderstanding it. Take for example the 1 John 2:2 one, where it says the He Himself is the propitiation of the whole world. Propitiation, is appeasment. If Jesus has appeased God for the whole world, then I guess no one will be going to Hell, and God will never be wrathful. Other verses however, tell us otherwise, so, the whole world there, must mean some sub segment, from among a broader world.  Why are you afraid of the truth? Seriously, you are going to go there? That is somewhat of an insulting and leading question. I am not afraid of the truth. I probably shouldn't even dignify that question with an answer. I will just say this, I am more accountable to God, if I keep silent of what I believe He has convicted me of as His truth, that I am of forum members who feel a need to criticize me. In any case, I would rather discuss what the Bible says, than what Ron Rhodes or even John Calvin said. Isn't that what is important? Maybe I am wrong, but I do not recall bringing the opinions of other fallible sinners to back me up here, I am sure there are hundreds out there for any position one can imagine. As I have already stated, I do not even like to be associated with the name Calvin, or the label Calvinism. For the sake of simplicity in this thread, I am using it. I do however, think the the theological positions held in the five points, square with what the Bible says, as a whole, and with the writings of the apostle Paul especially, since he expounded on these topics.
