• I Stand With Israel Petition

We want to send a strong, encouraging message to President Donald Trump concerning the importance of the nation of Israel in relation to God’s Word. Mr. Trump has already made strong statements supporting Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the nation's right to exist and defend herself. Let’s be sure to support President Trump in his decision and encourage him to follow through on his affirmations concerning Jerusalem and the Promised Land. Our goal is to deliver a petition of 1,000,000 signatures to President Trump. Read our Petition!

    • That's what I understood also. Followers of The Way.  Since posting this I sought resources that would inform as well.  I found this:     Should we call ourselves a Christian? Richard Anthony     [--------]   "Cristianos, Christian: a word formally not after the Greek but after the Roman manner, denoting attachment to or adherents to Christ. Only occurs as used by others of them, not by Christians of themselves. Tacitus (A.D. 96) says (Annals 15, 44), ‘The vulgar call them Christians. The author or origin of this denomination, Christus, had, in the reign of Tiberius been executed by the procurator, Pontius Pilate.’" Ethelbert William Bullinger, A Critical Lexicon and Concordance of the English and Greek New Testament (1908), p. 152. "This name (Christian) occurs but three times in the New Testament, and is never used by Christians of themselves, only as spoken by or coming from those without the church. The general names by which the early Christians called themselves were ‘brethren,’ ‘disciples,’ ‘believers,’ and ‘saints.’ The presumption is that the name ‘Christian’ was originated by the heathen." Thomas W. Doane, Bible Myths (1882), page 567, note 3. "The name (Christian) given by the Greeks or Romans, probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus. It was first used at Antioch." Easton’s Bible Dictionary.   "Egypt, which you commanded to me, my dearest Servianus, I have found to be wholly fickle and inconsistent, and continually wafted about every breath of fame. The worshippers of Serapis (here) are called Christians, and those who are devoted to the god Serapis (I find), call themselves Bishops of Christ." The Emperor Adrian to Servianus, written A.D. 134.   If you go to Zodhiates Word Studies, he tells you that when they were called Christians at Antioch, using the word ‘crematezo,’ it was a "divine warning." In other words, be forewarned, avoid this word and the use of it. And that’s what the apostles did. You will never read any of these New Testament writers using the term ‘christian’ to describe themselves.
    • Throughout history,  today even, Christians are being mocked - on forums, in real life, in cities and countries all around the world, often with anger and contempt;  likewise with torture,  humiliation, imprisonment, beatings and execution (and treatment not appropriate to talk about).  To start with ,  here's some recent excerpts about the first century: "... ... A person who became a follower (disciple) of Jesus experienced a radical change in values, attitudes and actions - and the world mocked such people by calling them "Christians." ... The disciples were first called "Christians" at Antioch..... .... " ".... The designation of the early followers of Christ as Christians was initiated by the non-Christian population of Antioch. ... Christian population of Antioch (Acts 11: 26), and originally it was probably a term of mocking or derision – “little Christ”..... " "....And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians. ... used to ridicule and mock the followers of the criminal black lowlife Yeshua of Nazarene. ... ... " "...The term 'Christian' was used to describe a follwer of Christ in terms of the world, from the world’s point of view. The pagans at Antioch called the apostles "Christians" first (Acts 11:26; 26:28) and used it derogatorily because the apostles didn’t follow the commercial world of the pagans....."   "....The name "Christian" was first given to the followers of Jesus in Antioch. Antioch was notorious for its ability to produce nicknames. They had one even for the emperor whom they once called "the Goat." Thus the name "Christian" was given to the followers of Jesus neither by themselves nor by the Jews, but by the Greek speaking pagans in Antioch. It was a nickname, a by- word, given in derision and contempt. .... "
    • Hi, Sorry for your dilemma, Haven't a clue what if anything you should or can do. So no real "advice" from here, just empathy, as many go through such  pangs in life, perhaps all life long. By comparison; I saw a pretty girl walk by my house when I was 16, beautiful even in her Girl Scout uniform complete with a sash filled with badges. I soon married her, lived with her  for 48 years until death do us part became a reality. Then thinking myself satisfied to be alone, I suddenly became curious and then interested in a generic cyber personality, a lady on a Christian message board. And so did she towards me. We shared music interests on a thread about lifetimes of music which included secular tumes we all on that board might have liked over the years. The two of us  that had known of each other 12 years on line as cyber entities, not even so much by gender, just as Christians on a message board found we were sending messages to each other, much like preteens might do. Messages in the lyrics and titles, finally culminating in "Are You the One" (I'm Looking For), which soon led to "Making a New Life". And two mature adults romanced and wed. Never know what God has  in mind for us! Sometimes it is best to let Him lead. Guess my advice is pray first, pray second, and think, then pray again. Let God lead. And may God bless.
    • - Because John wrote about the Temple Being In Heaven 12 times in The Revelation of Jesus Christ is fact enough that was the Temple he was told to Rise And Measure after he was sent down to the earth. As there was no Temple on earth at the time for John to be sent to on earth to measure. - Ezekiel 's  Temple was not on earth when the angel measured it either. Which included the court for the people. - Ezekiel's Temple measurements were given for Israel to 'measure the pattern'.  *And further more in The 6th Seal John saw  that The Great Multitude would've been in heaven for John to measure Rev.7 they'd have washed their robes white in The Lamb's blood to stand before God's Throne in heaven with The Lamb w/angels & 4 creatures is who John was measuring in The Temple by Rev.11:1. As it was them who were Worshiping God day and night in His Temple at the time when John was told to Rise And Measure The Temple and The Altar And Those Who Worship There. - Rev.7:14  For The Great Multitude Serve & Worship God too. - Rev.19:7 - So there's too much information of scriptures to believe rather than interpretations of another Temple being built on earth before Jesus' return. Which is not scriptural. You want to believe that God Himself  would establish another Temple Of His which does not serve the purpose of His Son's death for God Himself to be in only to let some defiled person have it (?) This interpretation makes God sound very confused. Jesus does not come back to defend any Temple on earth for The Jews. - There will be The Throne of His father David for Him to sit on "In The Regeneration" of The 1,000 yr reign when He sits on His Throne along with The 12 Apostles when they sit on their 12 Thrones as Judges of The 12 Tribes Of Israel (144,000). - Rev.19:28 - Rev.4:20 As John said he saw Thrones and they that sit on them and Judgment was Committed to them. Jesus will then Be "The King Of kings and Lord of lords" Jesus will have for His Davidic Kingdom The 144,000 Of All The Tribes Of The Children Of Israel. Jesus will have The 12 Apostles as their Judges. Jesus will have The 24 Elders as 'a kingdom of Priests' who say they will Reign on the Earth. - Rev.5:10 As it was King David and The Priests Zadok who established The 24 Divisions of 24 Elder of The Tribes Of Israel. - 1Chron.24 The 24 Elders having 24 Crowns cast to The Throne which Jesus brings with Him Rev.4:10 - Rev.19:20 In The Regeneration there'll be "The Camp Of The Saints The Beloved City". No Temple mentioned. - Rev.20:9 Is.9:6,7 "...Of The Increase Of His Government...upon The Throne Of David And His Kingdom to Order it and establish it with judgment & justice..." - David's Throne Was Never In A Temple.  -
    • Yes. Read starting in chapter 8 and go back to chapter 1. Pay attention to the theme of each chapter. Be kind huh? Don't be so dismissive.
