    • Is Jesus God?
if that is all they saw then why did they expect to be harmed?   You are using the mental creations of your own thoughts to over rule what the Bible itself says......     but it looks like we are not coming to any agreement on this....... But let me ask you this.....     if Jesus was in the form of God before he was human, where was he during the old Testament days and what was he doing?
    • Is Jesus God?
Shalom, Qnts2. No, you're not paying attention to the details. You're right that one can have more than one "Lord" and that God can be one of those "Lords"; however, apparently, you don't use the KJV often. There is a HUGE difference between "LORD" and "Lord" in the KJV's Old Testament. Your definition for "Lord," namely one having "authority and power," is frankly insufficient if you don't recognize this HUGE difference within that definition. You can dismiss me, if you wish, but you're not wise to do so. Yeshua` SHALL be a true human King: He was and is David's descendant; He was and is God's Son; He was and is the Messiah of God - God's Anointed One to be King, first over Israel, then also over other nations, and finally over the world; He shall be the Judge as the Supreme Court of Israel and of the World; and He turn the Kingdom of the World - the Empire - over to His Father, after He has conquered the last enemy, Death. Looking at the history of the Word, a pictoral representation of the time line can be ... The Word was God and was with God and in the beginning with God
--> the Word was promised to be the Messiah of God for Israel's King and His name was predicted to be "Yeshua`" for "He shall save" His people from their sins
--> the Holy Spirit came upon Miryam
--> the Power of the Highest overshadowed Miryam
      --> the Word became flesh
--> the flesh grew and was born and was named "Yeshua`" ("Jesus")
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua`" was also called "the Messiah" ("the Christ") and "the King of the Jews"
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua`" grew and matured
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua`" was declared to be God's "beloved Son" and thereafter called "the Son of God"
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" was offered to Y'hudah as their King
--> the offer of His Kingship was rejected and He rescinded His offer to be their King until the Jews of Jerusalem could welcome Him
--> the rejection of the King grew into His death on the cross
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" was buried in a borrowed tomb
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" was RESURRECTED by God (His Father)
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" demonstrated that He was alive and still flesh
--> forty days after, the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" was lifted by God into the sky
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah," still flesh and bones, was seated on the right-hand side of God
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" waits until He has received His Kingdom
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" comes again, as promised
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" resurrects and gathers His family/His armies
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" rescues the rest of His family and people
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah" is accepted as Y'hudah's King and Israel's King ("Melekh")
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah and Melekh" holds a war tribunal, judging between nations who were in the war
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah and Melekh" establishes His Kingdom
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah and Melekh" reigns for a thousand years, subduing all of his enemies, one at a time
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah and Melekh" finally subues all in the Harvest - the Global Fire, holds His Great White Throne Judgment, and subdues Death
--> the New Earth is established and the New Jerusalem descends to earth
--> the Person called "the Word" and "Yeshua` the Messiah and Melekh" gives the Empire to His Father, but goes on reigning over Israel
    • Is Jesus God?
No the father is YHWH the problem lies that you can not see the various forms that were visual representations of God manifested through His shekinah His Shekinah manifested as a cloud
Ex 13:20-22 Then (the children of Israel) set out from Succoth and camped in Etham on the edge of the wilderness. And the LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. (cf Ps78:14, 105:39)
it came about when the priests came from the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.
God said that He would dwell (shakan = to settle down = root of Shekinah) Shekinah manifested as The Burning Bush ‘Ex 3:2-3  And the angel of the LORD appeared to him (Moses) in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So Moses said, "I must turn aside now, and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up."
Deut 33;16, where we find the phrase “Him who dwelt in the bush” where the word for “dwelt” is “shakan“, the root word of Shekinah. Shekinah is called the Angel of the Lord Ex 14:19 And the Angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.
The same Shekinah who is The Angel of the Lord manifested itself and confronted Hagar as she fled from Sarai (Gen 16:7-14). Likewise the angel of the Lord appeared to Abraham at the oaks of Mamre (Gen 18).  It is the same visual representation that wrestled Jacob Why is it a visual representation: 14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that Thou, O Lord, art in the midst of this people, for Thou, O Lord, art seen eye to eye, while Thy cloud stands over them; and Thou dost go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night (Numbers 14:14). Here the Israelites saw God eye to eye, in other words they saw God face to face, and that was a visual representational form of God in the manifestation of a pillar of Cloud.
They saw God, scripture makes that very clear. They saw the presence of God. Seeing the presence of God (face to face) and seeing the actual entity called God ( seeing God’s face) who dwells in unapproachable light, are two different figure of speeches.
No one can see the father, because He dwells in unapproachable light. That is why you need Jesus, to be your mediator, as He is the only one who saw God’s face (actual entity) and approach this unapproachable light.
However God has a function of Himself, it is a force of his own entity that can manifest, this force is called His Glory that God uses to communicate with us and manifest itself into actual visual forms: cloud, burning bush, Angel. Exodus 24:9-11New International Version (NIV)
9 Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up 10 and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky. 11 But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.
These people who saw God, where in the presence of God but that presents was a visual form of God called His Shekinah To help understand this concept again: Numbers 12:8
8 I speak with him face to face, (Saw God)
      Even plainly, and not in dark sayings;
And he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant Moses?”

      Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
      image, likeness, similitude
Or tmunah {tem-oo-naw'}; from miyn; something portioned (i.e. Fashioned) out, as a shape, i.e. (indefinitely) phantom, or (specifically) embodiment, or (figuratively) manifestation (of favor) -- image, likeness, similitude.
      Brown-Driver-Briggs
תְּמוּנָה noun feminine likeness, form; — ׳ת Exodus 20:4 4t.; construct תְּמוּנַת (תְּמֻנַת) Deuteronomy 4:16 3t.; suffix תְּמוּנָתֶ֑ךָ Psalm 17:15; — likeness, representation ("" מֶּסֶל) Exodus 20:4 = Deuteronomy 5:8, compare Deuteronomy 4:16,23,25; form, semblance of ׳י Numbers 12:8; Psalm 17:15, compare Deuteronomy 4:12 (see Dr), Deuteronomy 4:15; of nocturnal apparition Job 4:16. Numbers 12:8 allows us to accurately interpret Exodus 24:9-11 these people saw the presence of the likeness or representation of the glory of God. This is scripture interpreting scripture, further knowing the various forms of the Shekinah that can manifest into, in Exodus 24:9-11 it is clear these people were in the presence of God's Glory,  but they were not in the presence of unapproachable light.

    • Staying in communion with God
I would appreciate some biblical support from those who claim they are constantly filled with the Holy Spirit after conversion.  For I have always believed that the Spirit is given by measure unto us and that it was our task to ask for that which it pleases God to give us. Thank you in advance.  Jhn 3:34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him Luk 11:13If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
    • Is Time Infinite?
one interesting prediction of quantum mechanics that relates to time is Bell's theorem -- the implication of a mathematical inequality derived from QM model of the world as it applies to electron spin & some other properties of matter. this implication is familiarly known as 'quantum entanglement' and stems from a 1935 paper by Einstein, Rosen & Podolsky titled "Can Quantum-Mechanical Description of Physical Reality be Considered Complete?"
in this paper, the authors explored some strange (Einstein called this "spooky") implications of quantum mechanics to the physical world. one particular result is that information can defy the light-speed limit on travel in the universe -- the concept of entanglement can be described as the time-travel of information; the instantaneous transfer of information between two entangled particles across any distance.

Bell's theorem has not been testable until very recently, and results of experiments seem to indicate that it is a real effect.

what does it mean for us that in certain contexts, information can be transferred independent of time?
well, philosophy is very often mixed into quantum results - though easily argued that this isn't proper to do. but an interesting correlation relevant to us as believers is the idea that justification and righteousness before God is transferred to us immediately - independent of time - when we hear and accept the gospel.
