    • Who or what is the two witnesses of god in the end times?
      By Sister · Posted
Mevosper I can show that your statement is wrong here and is supported in the scriptures.   Revelation 13:7   And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. Who is going to make war with the saints and overcome them?
        Daniel 7:25   And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Who's hand will the saints be given to?    Daniel 7:21   I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Mevosper Ok lets look at this more closely; Revelation 11:1   And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Revelation 11:2   But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Revelation 11:3   And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. You said this is all history, fulfilled a long long long time ago, ..... so After the temple is measured, the two witnesses come on to the scene.  They shall prophesy for 3 1/2 yrs....ok? What happens at the end of their prophecy?

Should we expect Christians to behave like the bible says Christians should? .......of course we should ......it's a strange question to ask .   Let not your heart be troubled—John 14:27 Let your light shine—Matthew 5:16 Do not commit adultery—Matthew 5:27-30 Love your enemies—Matthew 5:44  Judge not—Matthew 7:1-2  Honour your parents—Matthew 15:4  Love your neighbour—Matthew 22:39  Celebrate the Lord’s supper—Matthew 26:26- 2  Make and baptize disciples—Matthew 28:19.........and lots more .

I checked this ministry and Shiloh is correct. They are definitely off-track.
    • The things in the Bible ain't necessarily so.....
      By robin hood · Posted
In the musical Porgy and Bess we hear the words " The things that you're liable to read in the bible it ain't necessarily so " . While the musical isn't a doctrinal thesis on the Scriptures , it raises a question .......To what extent do we take the words in the Bible literally ?

This is their summary of this Bible. So it would appear that it is not a cultish Bible but probably one geared for Messianic Jews, with Yahweh and Yahshua for Jehovah and Jesus. Why the King James Version and Strong's?

I agree; especially considering myself.    Ever ask yourself if I was on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict me?  Very scary most believers practice James 1:23-24.
    • What are you thankful to God for today?!
      By 19Duggarfan · Posted
So okay our Wal-mart store got a gal who was very slow (and this an understatement) she really tried and was a sweetheart; but because no one else wanta to work with her; because you really could go faster on your own, they always put her with me which was literally tearing up my body, Praise God she quit.  That sound mean but my body was really feeling the wear and tear from just 3 days.  I really wish our management would have put her on door greeting, maintence or just something that didn't require speed.

I really love your post! Fearing God is the beginning! Thank you for sharing!    (Mat 10:28)  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
    • Grumbling and gratitude...
      By TryingtoSurvive215 · Posted
The best way to give thanks to the Father is to pray to him and thank HIM for another day and all that HE has provided for us. Even though we may have problems of all shapes and sizes, just remember HE is there to help us and guide us through our everyday tasks.   (1Th 5:18)  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.   Peace and Love
