    • The Mark and the Image
Again, I have to agree with OO on this interpretation. I know it might sound harsh, but I'm sure God has his reason for saying that if you take this mark, you forfeit all right to inherit eternal life.  I'm not going to contradict scripture just to promote what I think is right or less harsh.  I'm not here to please man, so I will not and cannot contradict clear teaching in scripture.   Jesus also said you better not blaspheme the Holy Spirit because there is no forgiveness for that too.  Honestly, I don't know the full implication of that comment, but it sounds foreboding enough that I would do all that I can to make sure I don't come near it.
    • The Mark and the Image
Don't attempt to deflect.  Here is your misrepresentation: I never, anywhere said that it's okay to sin or that there aren't consequences.  You clearly misrepresented my position in an effort to discredit it and then based on that falsehood call my faith into question.  Yes, that's a personal attack, no matter how you try to disguise it.  I'm sure you'll understand if I refrain from further dialogue with you.  I pray that you fare well, sister.
    • Could America (NYC) be the great harlot...
Thanks Marilyn for this synopsis. personally, I'm not where you are at in that analysis. I'm not even convinced we will have a one world religion, and I am definitely not convinced the WHOLE world will be following the AC, even with the FP performing many signs and wonders.  I do know there are nations who will rebel against the AC and war with him, so obviously his sway will not be accepted by all. as for the UN being involved- this makes sense. I'm just not sure through religion. And of course, I don't think it's a coincidence that NYC is where the UN building is located.  Thus, I still am not convinced Babylon, Iraq has any significance, like you do, for end times events.  Of course, things can change as we get closer to the great snatch!  I guess we shall see how this plays out.  Thanks. spock
    • Mainstreaming “Animal Personhood”?
from First Things: "Complacency is cultural subversion’s best friend. You know what I mean: When a radical proposal is voiced, people chuckle and roll their eyes, believing that it can’t happen here, saying, 'What will they think of next?' "Thus, when the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sued Sea World claiming that its orcas were 'slaves' because they are kept in captivity, the typical public response was a bemused, 'There they go again.' "Yes, PETA lost that lawsuit. But Sea World’s legal victory was predicated on a finding that whales cannot be 'slaves' because they are not 'persons.' As the judge noted, an 1864 definition described slavery as 'the state of entire subjugation of one person to the will of another.' "That may sound like a rock solid defense. Animals cannot be declared illegally held slaves. But what would happen if some highly intelligent animals—such as, say, dolphins, pigs, dogs, elephants and/or chimpanzees—were ruled by a court to be persons?..." http://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2016/02/mainstreaming-animal-personhood And what would become of Genesis 1:26-7, i.e., "Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals....'"

thank you for your post and trust in my words, it is at times I post questions to people ,to just get them to answer , but I know the answer before I ask , it is to show the false teaching and those leading others astray on this sight, I know I am saved , and in the spirit of the holy one, and I am trying to share the love of Christ with all to see the beauty and glory we have in Him
I hope I can encourage and help in my ability to bring scripture to you , and thank you for the  rep points, blessings to you and I pray all is well with you ,my brother

      2 Chronicles 7:14
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
I encourage you all to pray every day for our country. There is no turning back from the path we have taken, we can't erase our mistakes, but we can pray that we don't travel any farther down this dark road.
