    • Additionally as I noted in the sacred text to you before…you however neglected…“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, [God] made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, [God] and seated us with Him [God] in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  (7)  so that in the ages to come He [God] might show the surpassing riches of His [God] grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” The “sons of God”…are…alive together with Christ…it says…“God”…who?…God the Father …being rich in mercy…made us alive together with Christ…it was [God] who made us alive together  with Christ…”Marilyn C”…God the Father and Creator…it was Him…this speaks of eternal life does it not? What else is the statement “in the ages to come” meant to reference…along with statements like…”He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world” and “He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself” this all speaks to eternal life in Christ…for the “sons of God” and this is for today…how is it that one does not see these things? It is because “eternal life in Christ” cannot be realized outside of “Christ.” Paul goes on…again…openly delineating the authority by which these things are made to happen…it was ”God” who raised us up with Him, [God] and seated us with Him [God] in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus [God]. Paul says…it was “God” who seated us in the heavenly places “with Him”…seated in the heavenlies with God the Father of creation…where exactly then does that put the “sons of God?” Precisely…which is why the “sons of God can see” the invisible God…they are with Him…Marilyn C…if you cannot as you openly admitted…now you know why?  You really should stop trying to push and protect the lesser covenant…it has been dramatically fulfilled and superseded. Ezekiel said it like this…"Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 12:2 NASB None the less Marilyn C…I hope that you come to know this…that the “maturing sons of God” also know…“If then you were raised with Christ”…we should all understand what this means by now…then he writes that we are…“where Christ is”…this is kindergarten or elementary level spiritual “Truth” is it not? I am not suggesting that it is unimportant Marilyn…no simply that it is basic. By extension…or…by virtue of being… where Christ is…which is where Paul teaches us that the “sons of God” are…we are then…sitting at the right hand of God…in Christ ourselves. This is so rich…as a result…our “minds” are to be upon the heavenly things…meaning…because of this highly esteemed and preferred position…the “adopted sons of God” are learning as they mature…to interpret and speak the “Spirit language” of their eternal Father…in the heavenlies…upon His throne…while living on the earth exactly as our Lord and Master did. There is more…because we have died and were raised again with Christ…”our life is hidden with Christ in God.” This is in the heavenlies…”in the center and around the throne” is how John put it. This is a revealing of the Lords desire for each of His sons…this is however hidden from those who are perishing…and…the religious whose minds are hardened because the veil of the “Old Covenant” yet remains un lifted…because it is only removed or lifted once one is…”in Christ” who is a Spirit. These that are “veiled” are the ones who look at and perceive “the greater through the lens of the lesser.” Which has the similar effect as turning the “wine into water”…or taking a mystery of God that has been revealed and then “hiding” it again…it masks the “Truth”…this is evil and is judged as such even now and in the future by those who teach such things. For those who can see the throne of God…you see Christ as He currently is…you are in Him…you are Him. For those like Marilyn C…and there are many around here…this explains why they have not seen…nor can they see the invisible God and Father of creation and His beloved Son. This is exactly what happened to ancient Israel and why they murdered their only Messiah…that is so tragic! Tatwo..:)
    • Sorry to hear that Marilyn…I expected you to admit such…there was really nowhere else for you to go…with the exception of admitting your own error…which will get kicked up here…now...which if you read this...you will be troubled. That is why I asked to have you state it openly…which you did…and I believe you. I sent you many scripture references that really supported your original request…which you largely ignored…and I understand why…which is why I quoted you as saying…“the throne, the authority and the Godhead are invisible” and then inquired of you… “are you telling me that “you” Marilyn C…cannot “see” it?” First off I did not ask you if “the throne, the authority and the Godhead are invisible” that was your “strawman argument” and you played it as is typical…because it serves you and your personal intention…which I have mentioned to you before. Someone else called you on something very similar in this forum…it was @Your closest friendnt on page 2 post #5. Have at it Marilyn C…scripture explains these things (subterfuge) and the Holy Spirit illuminates them…the judgment for these things…is already set…which is obvious…seek the Lord for a shot at repentance…or harden your heart. Secondly “Marilyn C” your scriptural response…was only in support of your “strawman argument”…which for anyone reading this forum…is easily observable…you put on display a great ‘working” definition of this for us. Where did I state that the throne, the authority and the Godhead are not invisible…as you cleverly played it out to be? This is where you co-opted our brief discussion…understandably a bit confused…and redirected it to your position…which was no position at all…simply another attempt at wiggling out of any ignorance and responsibility to “Truth” all the while attempting to appear as though you possess and present “Truth.” For the record…Marilyn C…for the “sons of God”…only…HE has blessed us…”ALL with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. This is part of that which you self admittedly cannot see…just look where that leaves you Marilyn…is that who you are? We were chose…in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will. Yes..it says “with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ”  how can that be anything other than the throne of the living God? This is because “In love He predestined us to adoption as sons.” This plainly states “who” the “sons of God” are…and “where” they are located…which is in the heavens and upon the His throne right now…as the “spirits of just men made perfect.” It is here in the “house of God”…the only “temple” that can ever sport His actual dwelling and eternal presence…it is here that we are being loved and raised in the admonition of our Father…this will continue all the way…“to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” The reason you Marilyn C…and a number of others around here can’t see these things…is because for you to believe what Paul the apostle authored and what I have parroted here…washes away the entirety of the beach sand your whole belief structure is founded upon. I'll continue... Tatwo...:)
    • I've been lightly chewing on this question for days and this morning woke up with a couple verses to answer: "I will build my church."  Matt 16:18 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again to receive you to Myself, that where I am you may be also."  John  14:3 @tatwo Hit it this when he talked about the building work.  So did @Sower when he talked about His transforming work in us (the building requires good/divine materials). (Revelation 21:2 also comes to mind regarding the ultimate building, the new Jerusalem: "prepared for her Husband")
    • I used to suffer from anxiety over this very thing a lot, along with general thoughts of aggression and disrespect toward God. They weren't in line with my feelings at all. Even in my lukewarm days I would struggle to find anything to be remotely mad at God about. It was just out of the blue, persistent, and invasive thoughts that were quite "loud" and very difficult to shut off. I'd argue with it, sometime out loud, and probably looked quite insane. Meanwhile I'd be panicking and anxious inside wondering if I'd finally blown it for good. I did a lot of research on the topic and came across a lot of the same info posted in the OP. The problem for me was the disconnect between head and heart. Like it says in Jeremiah the heart is deceitful beyond measure, and furthermore it often doesn't listen to sound reasoning and logic. It listens to itself. No matter how much good info and reassurances I took in when the heat of the moment came they did me little to no good in the long term. The fear and despair reigned. This continued well into my 30s before a particularly bad episode put me in a really dark place emotionally. But the funny thing? In the midst of it all I was inspired to step up my walk with God. We might not be saved by works, but I definitely feel like the closer we are to God the more we have an emotional buffer against that sort of attack. With the attack itself being emotional in nature having works and past good experiences with God providing for me I felt much more assured by that than I did from taking in explanations and assurances that I hadn't committed the unpardonable sin. My experience with it all reminds me of Paul talking about the thorn in his flesh that he prayed several times to be removed, but it never was. He concluded that it served a purpose in his own Christian life. It's very relatable, though I thank God that incidents of it are few and far between and much less severe since that one bad attack spurred me to move closer to God. Like Paul's thorn it served a purpose, and now that the purpose is served it's largely gone. Something else that I learned in struggling with this is that OCD can manifest very much like this, and that some people (myself included) achieve much better results by not engaging with whatever form of intrusive thoughts they suffer from. Arguing with it brought it to the forefront of my mind and in retrospect reinforced it more than it helped.
    • The cross is a fact that transfers the source of our lives.  I was taken with this simple statement, which is so very profound.
