    • If I may steer this back to the OP... False teachers are successful because they offer to do all the thinking for us. When a new believer encounters a giant book full of thick material that only Spirit-led study using all of their reading comprehension skills can explain, it's easy rely on someone else who has all the answers.
    • Later on, he says he is walking in freedom now, so obviously, we can too if we know the secret.
    • I think this is whole crux of Gideon's position. He said in the OP that he floundered for 20 years being unable to walk in full victory. Apparently no one can do it in our current climate until God endows with us another Pentecost.
    • That is all well and good, but wouldn't it make more sense and do more good to tell people how to walk in victory now and stop worrying about a future age of aquarius for the church?   If I have been given the secret to walking in victory, that is what I would be preaching to help people now, today!
    • Revelation 1:1-7 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Note: This was said by the Lord around two millenniums ago. And now, how nearest it is). 4 Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be Glory and Dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. Rev.11:15&18 11:15 - The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever. 11:18 - And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. May our God bless us and keep us and give us His protection Amen

      Bad day yesterday! I was sinful, lazy, and had a bad attitude. Ignored the Holy Spirit.
      Hopefully today will be better. I plan to pray, repent, and then come here and soak up the all the goodness and love.
      Many thanks to Worthy Forums and its members for providing a safe haven to share, learn, and find encouragement.
      May God bless each one of you!

      9 “I kept looking
      Until thrones were set up,
      And the Ancient of Days took His seat;
      His vesture was like white snow
      And the hair of His head like pure wool.
      His throne was ablaze with flames,
      Its wheels were a burning fire.

      10 “A river of fire was flowing
      And coming out from before Him;
      Thousands upon thousands were attending Him,
      And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him;
      The court sat,
      And the books were opened.

      Psalm 63 vs 1 - 4
      You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;
      I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you,
      in a dry and parched land
      where there is no water.
      I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
      Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
       I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
