• I Stand With Israel Petition

We want to send a strong, encouraging message to President Donald Trump concerning the importance of the nation of Israel in relation to God’s Word. Mr. Trump has already made strong statements supporting Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the nation's right to exist and defend herself. Let’s be sure to support President Trump in his decision and encourage him to follow through on his affirmations concerning Jerusalem and the Promised Land. Our goal is to deliver a petition of 1,000,000 signatures to President Trump. Read our Petition!

    • The idea in arranged marriages - and I am not a fan of arranged marriages was that they would learn to love each other, at least that was the ideal.  Not sure if it always worked out that way. Often parents arranged marriages for self reasons.   Marriages into another family often entailed having access to that family assets.   If family A had skills in carpentry or stone masonry, and family B had good business skills, then it it made sense to merge both families and gain a lot of financial profit from it.   So the parents of both families arrange for their kids to marry.   The kids had little say in the matter. Biblically  speaking, marriages should be for love, not arranged.  The Bible does not teach arranged marriages, but it does mediate the cultural reality that existed in Bible times.   SOS would be an example of how the Bible teaches marriage for love.
    • Your understanding of 'socially responsible' is rather different from mine. I don't mean "law-abiding", but being concerned for the good of the whole community, rather than just looking out for my own interests (or the interests of my own social class or social circle). I can't see how this would lead to persecuting people. And although you won't find the words "socially responsible" in the Bible (they're very modern terminology), there is a wealth of OT legislation directed at upholding the rights of the poor (for example). That's probably what Micah was thinking of when he wrote this prophecy.
    • The New Testament letters were written to believers who were a tiny minority in an overwhelmingly pagan environment. So all instructions contained in those letters apply to the situation that you describe. But I can think of one verse that does specifically address this issue: "Live such good lives among the pagans that, although they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us." (I Peter 2:12)
    • Do you think that the account of the Egyptian magicians and Moses and the rod were only hallucinations??  Did God make Moses to hallucinate while he was by the burning bush and was shown what he was to do with the staff which turned into a snake and also was his hand turning leprous also only a hallucination?  How about the river of blood and the frogs and such?  Since the magicians were able to also bring forth frogs, were they only hallucinations??     And so I wonder... For all those people who are admitted into the E.R. for psychiatric help who scream out because they claim to see 'insects' climbing all over their bodies... Noone else is seeing them but could it be as 'real' as the snakes of the Egyptians?
    • And once again, I have it better than many others... This if compared with other people's daily evils would be small and more bearable than what they have to daily go through with no ways of escape.    So I should count my blessings, right?  Everybody can't be happy and provided for.. Some has to be on the tail end of things... well at least that's how it is in the world...   could you imagine if I was disabled and had to live among these daily things??

Adrian Rogers: "It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error"
"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills. Let me tell you something, friend, it is not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole counsel of God. It is better to be hated for telling the truth, than to be loved for telling a lie. It is impossible to find anyone in the Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not hated. It’s better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with a multitude. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth than to temporarily succeed with a lie. There is only one Gospel and Paul said, ‘If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

      – Adrian Rogers (cited in The Berean Call, December 1996)
