    • It's very difficult to know where to draw the line here. Are we meant to criticise individuals even if they are public figures? To say that Hillary is demon-possessed is probably crossing the line (but if I'm honest with myself it wouldn't surprise me if she was). It could be that she is just ill -
Parkinson's being one option. I am biased towards her because I don't like her. I don't hate her, and I want her to be saved, but I really don't like her, but trying my very hardest not to be biased and be completely fair - I have to say that there is certainly something strange happening with her.
    • That passage is part of a larger discussion that starts back up in Heb. 5:12 where the writer of Hebrews is talking about the fact that the audience is spiritually immature and stagnate in their spiritual lives.  That line of thought continues through Hebrews 6.  There is no complaint that they are apostate in that passage.   The word in the Greek for falling away is the word used for apostasy, but is a word that is used to describe the way an athlete falls to the side of the road in a race because he lacks the stamina to keep running due to a lack of training and preparation.    Hebrew 6:1 is an exhortation to move on from the elementary things they should already know and move on up to deeper more mature doctrinal knowledge and principles.   When the writer of Hebrews says that it is impossible to renew them to repentance, it is saying that they cannot be re-saved, but that's in the context of spiritual immaturity.  In other words, we can't keep going back and starting over.  Otherwise Jesus would have to come back and be re-crucified.   We are saved and we need to move on past the "beginner" stage in our walk with Christ.   We cannot keep going back over and over again. This is why understanding the context and the line of thought is so important in a text.   Hebrews 6:4-6 has always been presented without the benefit of the greater immediate context which has nothing to do with apostasy.  If we can sin so much as as to lose salvation and then make it impossible to be re-saved, it makes man more powerful than God.  It means that our sin is ultimately more powerful than the work of Jesus on the cross.
    • Hi Golden Eagle, I so agree with you. If we let others control us then obviously Christ is not our Head, we have given that position & authority to a mere person. No wonder the Apostle Paul warned the Colossians, (& by the Holy Spirit - us) - ` Let NO ONE defraud you of your reward........& not holding fast to the Head,....` (Col. 2: 18 & 19)   Marilyn.
    • Yes, I believe that's in Genesis chapter 6.
    • Paul talks about a sin unto death and I think that's physical death not spiritual- so I do believe that the Lord will take unruly children home early-- yes I agree

      Hi Theo,
I just finished reading your cry for help in prayer, girl what you wrote sounds like what I too am living with, nearly word for word!  I am sorry that you are going through this, I KNOW how hurtful and grievous it is to bare.  If I didn't know any better I could easily say you are me (only I am 64 and have been married to the man for 42 years).
It is so hard when you are crying out for prayer and all people want to do is throw scriptures at you when you are drowning!
Here is a short video on You Tube by Brene' Brown on Empathy, it is great, so true and yet humorous; it is less than 3 minutes long.  I love it!
Yes, I can pray for you because I understand.  I am married to a headstrong narcissist.
I too am having ear problems, noise intolerance and anxiety, just found out today that they are connected; who would have thought that, I sure didn't!?

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.

Not feeling school this semester. Fed up, burnt out and just thinking I bit off more than I can chew. A lot going on, and I am finding it harder to cope with the physical pain since starting back to work. Could use lots of prayer....
