For Jade :)

8 large carrots peeled and chopped

4 dates, pitted and chopped

2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or butter (coconut oil tastes 10x better)

Sea salt to taste

Cinnamon to taste (not necessary)

Preheat oven to 350-375 degrees

Place carrots and dates into an oven safe dish, and top with butter or oil. Toss to coat and sprinkle with sea salt and cinnamon to taste.

The candied taste comes from the dates. The sugar in the dates is slightly better for you because they aren't processed. I like me shook dates that are fresh. I buy mine in bulk at The Natural Grocer...you may have one near you? Otherwise you can buy them in containers at most grocery stores but they're not as good....

Those are good.  I have had something similar on Christmas or Thanksgiving.  Tasty!

Once cooked, do you serve it in a bowel or dish, do you a fork or spoon, is dipping bread or rolls allowed, what do you wash it down with?

It's A Side Dish Like Mash Potatoes And Gravy

Or Green Bean Salad And You Wash It Down With Wine Or Soda Pop Or Water

IMO Water Is Best If You Want To Really Taste The Food
