I am in the process, of becoming a Christian. I have been to several different churches and been visiting Christian websites and forums on the Internet. I have noticed that Christians believe many different things among themselves. I myself are not completely clear just as to how I believe on certain scriptures pertaining to the Bible. I have come here to discuss with you the way you believe and why you believe the way you do. I want to compare your belief of the scriptures and the Bible, to the other Christian denominations. Then I can decide for myself which way I ought to believe. Robert Sanders

Blessings Robert,,,,,

Welcome to Worthy,as you can see ,,,,this is the welcome forum & you really will get many more responses to your questions after you have 5 posts & can post the topic in an appropriate forum(consider this forum as the welcome committee-lol)

I am sure ,though there are many denominations......that is more about religion......becoming a Christian has nothing to do with what denomination(if any) you choose to follow,it is about a "relationship" with Jesus Christ....and there is not any Christian that believes differently on that

" Whosoever" believes in Him,should not perish but have everlasting life..................Fresno Joe posted the entire verse John3:16

Hello Kwik,

Are the Christians in the different denominations without a relationship with Jesus Christ?

It is customary in this forum to tell us about yourself.  You mention that you are "in the process of becoming a Christian".  I would be interested in understanding what you mean by "in the process".

Welcome Robert! I really hope the community has an impact on you in your process of becoming a Christian. I have just recently come back to God myself, not that I completely forgot about him, I just never really read the Bible that much when I was younger. I stopped praying for a while and have come back to Christ and my life is beginning to get so much better! I sincerely hope that this community will help you in your daily walk. Welcome to the forums, once again! To answer your question of what kind of Christian I am, I am in the Baptist denomination.

Scripture tells us that we are His once we believe.  The transformation to be Christlike takes a lifetime.

Yep, I would like a bit more info as well?

When you say you are in the process...What does that process look like, what are you doing to further the process (not that you have to do "steps"..)

In the city of Philippi, a jailer jailed two great Christians, Paul and Silas.  After a great earthquake that was caused by Paul and Silas singing praises to God, while in prison, the jailer asked:  And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved.  Acts 16:30

Paul and Silas answered him:  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.  Acts 16:31

Paul tells us:  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Romans 6:23

We as Christians our just sinner who have accepted the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord, so that we might become adopted into the Family of God.

3)  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4)  And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I Corinthians 15:3-4

Kwikphilly, was telling you about our relationship with God, because He desires us to become His Children, John 1:12; Romans 8:15-17.

5)  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6)  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7)  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 4:5-7

I have found in my Christian walk that my believes grow and sometimes change as I go about my journey. This is why I always feel that I am "seeker". And that I will never come to a place in my life when I say "I know everything there is to know about being a Christian." God is always teaching me and showing me new things. This isn't something that happens over night. It's kind of hard to explain.
